Thank you to the weather forecaster who said this area was going to have the best day of the weekend, with sunshine today ! So what have we got? Yet more rain and a load of washing to get dry! It hasn't even got daylight yet. Now, on the other hand if all this rain we are getting was SNOW, just think how lovely and deep and picturesque it would be.........Instead of that we have muddy, soggy fields to walk and slide about in when dog-walking. What weather are the rest of you having?

We know that railway very well and I think this is the worst battering it's ever endured.  They're

saying it'll take six weeks to repair but, to be honest, I think they'll be doing pretty well to get it

done in that time.  So sorry for all those people who've been flooded and moved out of their

homes.

Weather's atrocious here in Essex, but we've not had nearly such devastating consequences

as some.  There are, I', sad to see, still imbeciles driving about in silver cars with no lights on -

and other colours too, but the silver ones just cannot be seen in the same coloured weather.

Today the spray was so bad it was impossible to see the dividing lines on the motorway, so

how these people thought people could see them I don't know!  They're either barmy and don't

care, or maybe think they'll get a flat battery like in the '60's or they're so far off in their own little

universe it just doesn't occur to them that everyone else has their lights on!  If they can't drive

according to conditions then they should leave their cars at home and make the roads safer

for all those who can!

It's not been too bad here today.  At least the wind has dropped but we've had a few spots of rain.

My heart goes out to people who have been badly affected by the atrocious weather.

Yes Fishy don't think it will be 6 weeks, they have got to be able to get in there first.  Sorry about the rain, we have been quite quiet here today, bit of drizzle and a breeze. All set to change though.

It's been chucking it down here all day. The wind has dropped right away though which is a blessing.

Same here, but it's still raining, lol! Thank god the wind has died down though since yesterday because it just wouldn't let up at all all of yesterday afternoon & night O.o

So far my balcony plants had withheld the wind,but i just had to go and pick Rosemary up,,awwww poor thing was over on her side so the wind must be strong today. I could hardly get the balcony door open and shut!!!!!!!!!!!. LOL.

Just had a heavy downpour of large hailstones here , went out to cover up my Magnolia as same thing happened last year & killed the buds !

It's very still here and the sun is shining.  It's a bit nippy though!

Well, it was a very wild and wet night, but the wind has dropped and it is dry for the time being.

More of the shed roof has gone, and all of the roofing felt. Back garden looks very strange with just the odd fence panel standing, and we only have about a third of the front fence left.

However, compared with what a lot of folks are enduring we have got off very lightly.

I am being terrorised by a large fluffy back cat - it sits on the plant trough outside my window and stares very hard at me.

But they soon blew over fast & the sun came back out again 🙂

Well we woke up to frost this morning but we did have some rain at around lunchtime.  Hope that it's not frosty in the morning as I have to be out early.

I just can't understand this weather at all. It has been lovely here today, sunny, quite warm, the sea was calm as a mill pond; in fact it was just like Spring. Got heavy rain forecast for tomorrow a.m. though and wet and windy on Wednesday p.m. possibly a "dusting" of snow.

According to the Met Office website, they have given us a snow warning but there's no snow!!!  They have forecast heavy rain and strong gusts of wind.  I can't weigh it up.

The's snow in Ireland & Scotland & the far North at the moment, just not down here in the South at all!!! BOOOOO!!! 😛
