Weather

Just watched a weather forecast and for the north of England and parts of Scotland, it's going be wild and woolly tomorrow.  Just checked the Met Office website again for where I live and the wind is going to be gusting up to 56 mph at 12 noon tomorrow and there's going to be heavy rain as well.

Hope that everyone stays safe.

I went out for lunch today with a couple of friends.  One of my friends went into town by bus and she nearly got blown into the road the wind was that strong.  This afternoon, we've had sleet.  This weather should be banned.

Well we've had the wind since lunchtime, nothing worse than a normal gale.  In the windy tunnels created by the flats where she lives daughter could barely stand up!.

We've lost half of the fence - have been telling "him indoors" to get the fence posts replaced for months.

At least we've had no structural damage so far.  Hope that there's no more damage for you or anyone else Stroppy.  It's still very strong here and cold as well.

Hope that everyone stays safe and warm.

It's very windy  but the high spring tide and the tidal surge isn't due until about 1 am here.  North Norfolk is already under water.Smiley Sad

In one respect, I am lucky because where I live, we don't normally get too many extremes of weather. It is still very wet and windy here at the moment.  The nearest waterway to me is about a mile a way and there is a canal in town which is about three miles away.  I must admit that I am very lucky in that respect.

Just watching the news and the weather has been terrible all over the UK.  There's been power outages in Northern Ireland and Wales has been badly affected as well.  I just hope and pray that everyone is safe and well.

Sky News have just shown what has been happening in North Norfolk.  I must admit that we are very lucky where I live.  It's been wet and very windy and we've had quite a few hail showers but we've had nothing like what other parts of the country have had.

I have a young cousin living in North Norfolk near the sea - virtually on it... Four  houses have fallen in the sea just a mile or so away from her.

She saw seals swimming past her kitchen window this morning...

She's keeping in touch with us so hopefully she won't get a dose of the heroics if she's asked to evacuate...

 Absolutely horrendous here...

I had no power all day yesterday, & it's intermittent now.

I've never seen gales & wind like it...soooo much damage - but luckily I'll never be flooded.

I hope everyone is safe heart

I agree with you Maggie.  I hate snow with a vengeance.  I just hope that any snow that comes just falls on Rose's house.  She'll have a whale of a time.

The best place for snow is on a Christmas card.

It's been sunny but cold here for the main part of the day but then it started raining a bit.  We have had a better weather forecast for the weekend in that it will be milder but cloudy.

I don't mind snow because I don't need to go out in it but I don't like it because lots of people do have to.  Especially my son who has to drive 600 miles in it!! Woman Sad

On the whole, I don't have to go out much.  I hope that the weather is alright on 19th December as I have to take my mum to the valve clinic and I have to go to the hospital on 27th December over my skin cancer.  I'm hoping that the weather is fit enough to go as even taxis won't come round where I live.

Second Patch's picture.  Just had the most glorious warm day today.  Only problem I seem to have spent most of it in the car ferrying people around!.  What a country we live in, flooding and devastation and really nice weather within a relatively small area!.  hoping everybody is safe, warm and well.

It's Guardpig in disguise because i couldn't be bothered signing in and out.
