With the weather forecast not being too good, I hope that everyone stays safe over the next few days.

I shall be driving down to my friends house tomorrow for lunch which is only 3 miles away. Normally walk the dog but if the weather is as horrendous as is forecast then HE can walk the dog and I WILL stay in watching the TV.
Batten down those hatches

Like that Maggie.
We have had some rain and the wind's picking up here and we have a yellow warning for Monday.

Hopefully it wont be as bad as they say, but just in case I have moved anything that will move, put the table and chairs in the shed and the BBQ. taken down the hanging baskets. If it is bad the dogs can walk themselves.
Maggie love the warning
Amber warning here, apparantly we are going to get it first along with South Wales.

Just let the dog out for her business and it is absolutely chucking it down, its blowing sideways, just got soaked just standing on the step. Yuk

The last dog we had wouldn't go out in bad weather unless he really had and then it was straight out and straight back in again.
Hate horizontal rain. It should be banned.

We have 2 dogs, one the youngest loves rain and I have had an awful job to get her back in and I have had to dry her off, the other one who is older, I have just had to drag out on a lead, because he is too posh to poo in his own garden, now he is wet but he loves being towelled off. so chalk and cheese really.

I hope that you're right CB. I hope we don't get much of it either but the Met Office don't seem to agree with me.

Halloween on Thursday.
Hope the horrible, miserable weather lasts until at least then!
That way we can have some peace and quiet and no beggars on the doorstep!
Any chance of it lasting until Nov 6th?
A year of peace and quiet, what a beautiful dream!

We normally only get one for Halloween and that's the little chap from across the road. I agree with you that the weather could play havoc with the fireworks as well 'cos I hate them.
26-10-2013 9:40 PM
The problem is, if they've already bought their fireworks, even if it's raining on the day, they're going to let them off at some point in the days that follow. They could be over a longer period of time with everyone doing it when they get the time and opportunity, so animals are going to be frightened over a longer period.

According to the good old beeb, there's a yellow warning for North Wales and northern England as well CB. Just don't like bad weather - it should be banned - permanently.

It's getting nasty here now.
26-10-2013 9:50 PM
At the moment, it has calmed down a bit here but we did have an almighty downpour at around 7.30. We still have a bit of a breeze though.
Hope that you are alright Maggie.

Damson doesn't like the noise of the wind so she has the radio on. She won't want to go out later.
26-10-2013 10:11 PM
I can understand were Damson is coming from Maggie. I don't like either. We are quite open here because there is a farm around the corner and it's quite open.

It's 4.30 a.m. and I can't blerdy sleep because the rain is lashing the windows and it is very windy - I thought it was Monday we were supposed to get the high winds. Hope everyone is getting some sleep otherwise we are all going to be walking zombies later in the day:)
