I hope so! . The key is not to panic , do it gradually if you are not used to a high fibre diet it can be traumatic for your tum until you get used to it.dont forget to drink plenty of water with a high fibre diet, when I have time I'll start a thread for recipes which we can all add too if you like?. I gather there is quite a few diabetics here so it would be nice to swap ideas & recipes questions on new treatments etc, I am going to award a medal for the First Lady or gent who comes up with a decent recipe for LEMON MUFFINS! lol.
Keep your chin up it's not the end of the world, it's a new healthy lifestyle .

I've had that much confusing information I just stuck to this one...

look at carbs of which are sugars on the packet. If it's 10gms per 100gm or less....eat it!

Sam, I have a recipe for lemon muffins, it does have sugar in it, but it's less than half a cup full in 10 muffins, so it's not much sugar per muffin.

Do you use honey at all? I used one spoonfull to sweeten a large pot of greek yogurt. Is that OK?

No! Honey should only be used in tiny amounts & only clear honey.

Don't worry! It is confusing at first Honey Can be used in diabetic cooking. I'm going to post some recipes for you & give you the authors name, if you go to the library you can very often find a good diabetic cook book, also low fat, high fibre, low or no sugar books as well.
