Master A had a very nice day though he says the Golden Compass was much to short for the book. Personally I thought it was an impossible book to do justice to, and was a brave attempt.
Thank you Granny, ‘tis very kind of you. Hope the twins enjoyed their trip and the op goes smoothly.

Poor Gertie, hope you get things working soon. Otherwise it’s launderette for you! (The good news is they’re warm!)

The place sounds wonderful Herbs. Have visions of Boogs stalking the countryside fronting it out with the local stags! Glad your potential employer is someone you like. It always helps. Mnd is horrid. Hopefully it will all work out for all of you. You’d better stay in touch one way or another. Nine hours is nothing, we can always come and dig you out! (You can’t be that far from my favourite distillery at Pitlochry)

Towery do you think they’d notice if we built a couple of discreet cottages with the ruined castle?

Momma how’s it going? Hope you’re comfortable.

*Waves to Sparkle*

Dooley funny how we pick opposites. I love isolation and have lived happily with it, though the need for work and money has driven me back to cities, but son’s D ad is a real city bunny who would hate it and thought he’d go insane after a week!

sadly although they were happy for us to bring boog we have decided he would be better off staying here with my parents he practically lives in their house anyway

it would be introducing an unstable element in to an already difficult situation

the risk is simply not worth taking

also its a full blown tick area he'd be constantly covered in the buggers
they have a lovely old Alsatian (which likes apples??) who would be a target for the boog
they have to put special stuff on the dog as it gets ticks so often she ends up with swollen eye's and sores

Morning all. Glad you are sorted Herbs and Mrs Herbs, sounds idyllic if you like isolation. Now my ideaof the countryside would include supermarket deliveries, a local shop AND a library within wlking distance.

Sent rest of family off to Golden Compass last week. After LOR son is happy with bits missed out and he lovedit, OH went to sleep and daughter was totally puzzle byitall - I was happier with the hoover. Glad Master A enjoyed it too.

Granny, hope op was OK and twin is home soon.

Have a peaceful Sunday all. Got to go shopping for today's dinner in a mo and daughter wants to go shopping AGAIN!!!.

THE NEW GOOD MORNING THREAD

Good morning all dull and very cold here and we have no heating!

It went off yesterday afternoon and we rang British gas as we pay the service, they are supposed to come out the same day if you are elderly or disabled which we are both. first they said they would come before 10pm then they phoned back and said it could be anytime up to 6am. Then they phoned again and said they couldn't do it until today.Gramps told them exactly what he thought of them!
We phoned family and they rallied round with 2 electric heaters.
I have been awake since 6am thinking about little great grandson in hospital. Daughter phoned to say he had a phone by his bed so we phoned him and he is fine and sat up in bed playing with cars. His mum said he had eaten 3 rounds of toast! Hopefully when the doctors come round he will be allowed home. The surgeon told granddaughter that in all his years he had never seen a child with such huge adenoids and his tonsils were very large too.

Gramps says thanks BQ he needs anything that will keep him warm.

Congratulations Herbs on the new job, when do you start?

Hope Momma is doing ok.

Glad Master A had a good day yesterday. Image hosting by Photobucket
