PCC I am glad mine is not the only daft begger, he wanted to decorate the kitchen   WHAT!.

He doesn't normally do the decorating thats my job, but he has 2 weeks off so doesn't want to get bored, - I told him to go fishing instead.

Rotten night last night, was woken up at 4am by hailstones crashing against the front of the house, our back fence was doing a Mexican wave, any more of this and I think we might be off to the DIY place for more fencing.  He wont be bored then.

Horrible weather yesterday & the rain on the windows last night kept me awake. Today the sun is making an effort but it's still windy! I had planned to do the final shop tomorrow but looking at the forcast am thinking perhaps today would be better. If I get a frozen turkey today will it be ok just in the fridge until I cook it on Wednesday?

Afternoon all.

Huge hail stones here - coming down very fast too. Have just had a disagreement of opinion with ward sister who wanted to shut my window - no matter how cold it is, I always have the window open, even if only slightly.

Maggie - I am sure that a frozen turkey would be fine in the fridge until Wednesday.

Merlin - lovely wreath.

Hoping to be out Xmas eve - I am supposed to be helping at the homeless shelter Xmas Eve, Xmas Day and Boxing Day.

We shall have to see how things go though - the side effects of the cocktail of anti-biotics are pretty dire, sick much of the time, and not very with it either. Calcium and magnesium levels are all over the place, can drop like a stone within minutes.

No open window in the bedroom for me.....Brrrrr! Also I am on a busy main road so the noise would keep me awake. That's my excuse. Thanks for the turkey advice but I have decided to go tomorrow whatever the weather. I will then be able to leave turkey lurky in a cool place & have more room in the fridge.

Afternoon all.

Last night, we had strong winds and quite a heavy shower.  It's still on the blowy side at the moment but we do have quite a lot of blue sky and a few clouds at the moment.

Admits to not sleeping with the window open.  I live in a bungalow with a large window that opens so sleeping with the window open is a no no.

I see that I'm not the only one who doesn't like tea either.  I much prefer coffee.

My daughter went to M&S this morning Maggie, which is just a little way away from the big Toscos.  She said the cars were queuing right out to the roundabout on the main road, and weren't  moving at all!!  Set aside your whole day tomorrow for Asdo!!  Woman Surprised

Hope that you soon feel better Stroppy.

We normally do a food shop on a Sunday but I decided that we'd part of it last Thursday and the rest on Friday.  Must admit that it's harder though if someone's working.

Captain - we wouldn't have done "Xmas" on the 25th anyway, as I should be helping the homeless, we will probably make New Year's Eve our celebration.
