Morning all
Many congratulations on your news gina, now get yourself on that "waiting to be a granny" step as its been empty for a while
Hope the backs not too sore Maggie as it sounds like you have plenty to do to get ready for tomorrow and can't wait to see pics.

Congratulations Gina, I wish I was sitting on that step with you.
I'm amazed that I have no aches or pains in my limbs after my 'marathon' swim yesterday!

Afternoon all. It wet and cool here at the moment. We've even put the heating on for an hour or so it's so cool. I hope that the weather is better towards the end of next week. Steph told us just over 12 months that she'd be getting married on 21st September this year and it's flown. I'll have to take some photos and I promise that I'll put them on here.

It's been really muggy here for the last few days. just dashed up to the PO & Co-op & had left my purse at home. Friday 13th?

Steph's just rang to say that it's her mum's stepfather's funeral next Thursday at 2pm. It will be so sad.

Just had an email from one of my cousins in South Wales. Her mum isn't too good. The doctors put her on steroids and they have affected her lungs and she's in theatre whilst they try to sort the problem out. Also, my auntie has started on chemo a few days ago. Things don't sound very good at the moment.

Wouldn't you prefer a later shift capt? I don't think I could get up at that time every day!!
I enjoyed the swim more than I expected thanks. It's so warm in there with a lovely shower and heated towel when you get out, not like the 6d baths I used to go to as a kid! I did 26 lengths. Ok, it's only 30ft long I think but after 30 years I was quite proud! And no aches or pains today.

I think you did fantastically well CG. I might have managed two lengths!

Had to go out and come back in to check what I'd read again!!
Books, it's a good job the funeral is before the wedding. You all can't forget about it but at least it won't be hanging over everybody on the wedding day. People will be ready for a happy day to cheer them up a bit.
Those steroids are powerful drugs in many different ways. Hubby has them in bulk just before his chemo sessions and he doesn't sleep for days! I hope your auntie feels better soon.

Well done CG. Wish I had a pool like that one. I'd never be out of it.

Thanks Maggie, I was really surprised because I thought I was so unfit.
Your shed looks ideal for your dying, all tiled out and everything. Your new 'Studio'.

Thanks CG. We'll have to wait and see how she is when she comes out of the operating theatre and then how she goes on with the chemo.
Can't wait for the wedding next week as I feel like we need something good to happen.

Those tiles are breeze block walls CG! lol Son in law saw the pics & asked if I would like it plaster boarded & made posh. Guess what I said! lol

If I had a pool like that Chris I'd be in it too...oooooh lovely imagine that...
CG I like the hours really, just hate them when I wake up hahahahaaaa. I get to escape when the store is getting really busy. I must admit though as I get older it's getting harder to do any housework when I've got home and had lunch.....

The thing is with the pool I swim in it's lost some of it's water. They won't fill it up properly until the beginning of next week as the kiddiwinks have swimming lessons over the weekend and the water would be too cold for them if they filled it sooner. Doesn't matter about the members who pay up every month.

What's big CB? The pool or the picture? Mum's having a good laugh over that photo though.
