Very probably Merlin. What's your chicken soup like? lol
My hands are freezing tonight. I have allowed myself two hours heating on instead of one! :^O
21-10-2010 8:49 PM
funnily enough i made chicken soup last week
and its not something i usually make as we dont have chicken
but it was nice to make it for someone
i made the stock from the bones
and made soup
made curry, risotto, and lemon pepper chicken from the meat
its not as cold here tonight
i have no heating on
it was 1degree outside this morning when i got up though

I feel warmer now after my 'extra hour'.lol
21-10-2010 9:09 PM
I have the best of both worlds, I love cooking and I love eating!:^O I've just put some chestnuts on to boil, I'll have those after I eat these crisps, before I have my chocolate. All washed down with a crafty little dry white wine. I don't know the name but it's Tesco's cheapest!:-D
We've just got in from daughters, we were playing Sequence again. It was a two two draw tonight, the first time the 'girls' haven't won.:-(

I love cooking as in baking best 😄
I cook for a living so when I get home I don't want to cook again really 😞
so when I get home I really love it if some one else has cooked
or I just tend to pick fruit/ rice/ cooked chicken etc but my favourite is chicken broth
21-10-2010 10:22 PM
If I don't cook I don't eat! lol
21-10-2010 10:30 PM
Same here maggie, Hubby wouldn't know how to put the cooker on or where the pans are kept. If I wasn't here he'd live on fish and chips I expect.:|
21-10-2010 10:36 PM

My late hubby could cook the basics...fry ups mainly! lol One good thing about being on my own is if I only fancy beans on toast for Sunday lunch I can have it.:-D
21-10-2010 10:49 PM
I cant complain, hubby cooks a meal everyday, he has done for the past year or so,
When he got made redundant i introduced him to the washer, the cooker, got him to shake hands more with the hoover and he has wonderful soft hands 🙂
21-10-2010 10:52 PM
That's nice Gems,:-D
21-10-2010 10:55 PM
In one way he's very easy to feed, beans for Sunday lunch would be fine with him. He'll eat anything that he likes as often as I care to give it to him. He likes cheese spread and tomato sandwiches for lunch and he's had them 6 days a week for 42 years. I kid you not!:| He has a change on Sundays, cheese on toast.:^O He doesn't eat meat apart from chicken, and doesn't eat anything with onion, garlic, herbs or spices in. He lives mainly on cheese, pasta, eggs and tuna. (and cheese spread sandwiches)
