Hi Merc. So am I.
We didn't see the Queen and Princess Anne yesterda in Kendal. They were there in the morning and the road where coach was dropping us off was closed. We stopped of at Lancaster on the way up for a tea or coffee and we had some lovely home made shortbread. It was delish.
We are having ham salad for tea tonight as it's too hot for a hot meal. This morning, I went to town first and then for a swim. When I came out of the health club, the car was telling me that it was 29 degrees but it felt an awful lot hotter.
Hope that everyone is as well as can be expected.

Hope that you like the photo of the river Kent which flows through Kendal. It was hotter there yesterday than it was where I live.

Good Afternoon all.
Managed to have a shower without the dressing falling off - boy did it feel good to be clean and fresh. Mind you we had me wrapped up in almost a whole roll of cling film to keep most of the water away from the dressing.
Hospital are really pleased with "the hole", and I don't have to go back for a month, but if I (or the outreach nurses) are at all worried about it we just have to phone up and they will see me in clinic immediately.
The hole is noticeably smaller so that is great.
Hope you all have a good evening

That is good news Stroppy. I bet you feel better for having a shower. Normally, I will have a shower after I've had my swim in a morning. With the hot wether, I've had a shower after I've had my breakfast and then I've had another one after I've had my swim.

Great news Stroppy
You should have stopped for a brew as you would have passed through the village Books. The queen usually stays just up the road when she is in this area, the house belongs to the duke of westminster and is a calendar house, the princes used to come to stay ,

It's a pity babies have to grow up. Mum spoke to Grace the other morning whilst I was out. My mum's name is Elsie and Grace's nan asked her to say 'Hello to Auntie Elsie' so Grace said 'Hiya Else'. My mum just laughed.
