Of course they are CK ,   just as quilters are as pure as the 100% cotton thread they use .....;-)

THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Bought some more wool this morning whilst I was in town and I am now knitting a matinee coat.

Took mum to pick up her glasses this afternoon and she's made up with them.  We had a little walk around town but mum didn't want to do too much.

I popped into the back lane to chat to my neighbour & three hours later was still there cutting back brambles & ivy. I ache a bit less after a shower but I can't stop when I get going! I filled five sacks. 😮

Looking forward to Broadchurch tonight.:-D

Had to undo my knitting - again.  If I'd have carried on, I would have knit a matinee coat that would have fit a baby with a 30" chest!!!!!!!!!!!!  I'd done about thirty rows.  I was using the correct needles and wool  Both my mum and I have done that pattern many times before and we've never had that problem.  To say that I want to scream at the moment is putting it mildly.

😞

I'm struggling with a lacy pattern at the moment, the stitches don't stay the same! I keep working out on paper how many K2 there are in relation to YO but keep ending up one short! It's very forgiving so I've just done M1 at the edge when it's wrong! I think I'm not doing one of the YO. I should be starting Maggie's waistcoat but I'm trying to finish all my UFOs first!

I was trying to crochet tulips earlier, but each petal I made turned out a totally different size and shape :^O  I gave up in the end, will go back to it when my head is a bit clearer. Made 6 other different flowers instead though 🙂

I think what I will do with that pattern (apart from binning it:-D) is try it in 3 ply. My mum tried that with a pattern the other week and it worked out the correct size.  Funnily enough, the patterns are from the same company who I used to knit for years ago. They've obviously not improved any as only a few of their patterns ever worked out.  They used to pay well though.

Morning all.

Sorry to hear about your back Numptz.  Hope that it's soon feeling better.

Not feeling so bad today - yet.  I've no doubt that later on the day, my body will be telling me it is time for a full skeleton transplant but I think that can wait a while longer.

Weather here is cloudy at the moment.  At least it's not frosty which is the main thing.

Ouch numptz sounds painful, hope you're getting plenty of rest :-x

I have a slightly sore head this morning a feel a little delicate , yes I know self inflicted but what a game of football.

So hope RDW enjoyed watching Man U win the the premier league title as much as I did.

Broadchurch was fab as well but won't spoil the ending for those who have'nt seen it yet 😉

Morning. I loved Broadchurch. It was so well acted & much of it filmed locally.:-) There is going to be another series too. I think they were surprised how it took off. How could it fail with all that Dorset scenery & David Tennant! Keeping zipped about who dun it! lol

I thought it was good. There were a couple of things I am still wondering about but I just might have missed something.
