I use whatever's in the machine.;\
I would probably get on a lot better if I did it right and used the right equipment.:|

Oooh thank you for all the answers! 😄 :-x I hadn't thought of making a skirt with an elasticated waist! Oh, Oh, Oh excited now!

What make is your machine Huggles?
RDW you have a message.:-)

It's a Toyota. Is that OK? 😐 Friend coming round at 7.00! I hope she can sort it out.

It's a 2000 series with two knobs. I know this because I saw there were different ones on Youtube this afternoon. Some have 3 knobs but I'm happy with 2. 🙂 Some only have one knob! 😮

Two other things huggles - you can make a dress the same way - I do cap sleeves.
Also, how old is your machine - is is metal - does it 'come apart' easily for oiling? Or is it welded plastic like the newbie ones?
28-09-2012 5:22 PM
Ah but the modern ones aren't supposed to need oiling! 😉

Now Maggie, I would not dream of questioning your expertise, I promise you that, but I just don't 'get' that theory.
Do you remember a few months ago I asked your advice on a JL machine I had, which just thundered to a halt.Made a noise like a 747 taking off.
Wel, thinking I had nothing to lose, l I got my electric hacksaw (and a wee hand one for the fiddly bits) - took pics on my camera as I went along so I could put it back together again - oiled the 'moving' parts I could see. Put it back together again (used glue gun and held in place wih duct tape, eventually removed when glue dried). Goes like new. I was ready to bin it.

Its bulging intermitently ..... she's been for an interview here today so it may be bulging permanently much sooner than we expected 😐
we had to go wallpaper & bed browsing today 😮
I'm missing having "me" time though ......... I like my alone time 😞
Only a "small" offering this month for mdcc but there will be two of them :-x

*ck* I got a great bed on here for son's flat - his was cheapo (2 of his chums went and bought the same one), but they did have much better ones. Delivered on time, very obliging, I was well chuffed with them.
