Morning all.
Hope you can get you machine sorted huggles, I tend to hand sew everything as can't be arrised to get the machine outta the loft but do get it down occassionally when I need to do large stuff.
Was horrible in work yesterday as the river behind us was cordoned off and camera crews everywhere as tragically 2 people were found dead there, it looks like they either went into the flooded river to rescue thier dog or that the bank was washed away from beneath them.:-(
I went to a jelly and ice-cream b/day party last night as Kaysha was 6 yesterday and am taking her and some friends to a princess pamper day at a local salon on Saturday (gawd help me !!):-)

I saw that on the news Stan & wondered if it was near you. Their whippet raised the alarm. 😞

So sad huggles as she has a young son who thankfully wasn't with them at the time.

good afternoon everyone.
oh Stan, I saw that on the news, awful tragedy:-( the current was so strong it was unbelievable.
the sun is cracking the flags here, I've opened the windows too!
I got a real sweat up this morning couldn't work out if it was a hot flush, temperature rise with me hoof, or a hypo:^O I've settled on a mad moment as I was trying to push this stupid wheelchair on the carpet and it wouldn't budge!!!
reminds myself to loose at least 3/4 of my body weight for when they do the other foot:_|

I'm going to order some new needles for my sewing machine. The spare ones were organ but I can't remember what size. What should I get for general cotton etc? 🙂 Just popping out to an appointment but back soon.
28-09-2012 3:28 PM
Organ or Shmetz are good. 80/12 or 90/14 are the best sizes.:-)
28-09-2012 3:45 PM
I'm with Maggie altho' also have
70/10s - i sew a lot of voile
80/12- universal
90/14 - medium to heavy cotton even to light denim
16/100 - hemming jeans
I also use 80/12 ballpoints for my 'stretchy' tube skirts - which are a doddle - your pelmets would take half a yard of fabric and some 1" waist elastic. Honest - use one you wear as a template - you'll be amazed how easy it it.
What make is your machine?
