I don't know about England being a bit slow and Scotland having half term last week, I think it's Scotland being a bit early. Your schools went back for autumn in the middle of summer!:O Mind you, with the weather you have up there I don't suppose it matters when they're off, it's still raining!;-)

It looks lovely. I expected it to be darker with the dark brown sugar.

:^Omy new lights are GOOD!
They are a little darker than usual flapjacks
i used muscovado sugar as i prefer that for a chewy flapjack and its very dark
they are very nice as they are
and hold together very well
as i mixed the oats, mincemeat & rum together i thought there really wasnt enough mincemeat, i dont know if i would try and sneak a teensy bit more in or not
they are very "christmassy" as they are
24-10-2011 3:08 PM
I am shopping tomorrow so will get some oats & the children can have a go when the arrive.:-)
24-10-2011 3:23 PM
That looks soooooo tasty 😄
I will just have to drool at the pic cos I don't do baking 😞
maybe thats a good thing though as I'm the only sweet toothed member of the family so I would have to eat them all myself
24-10-2011 3:27 PM
:Ooh i dont do baking either CK
i really am very rubbish at it so i dont bother
they are not baking
they are mixing and shoving in the oven
honestly
very easy
children will like all the measuring and mixing though and no messy flour!:-D
24-10-2011 3:31 PM
Well the heavy rain has arrived to join the strong winds. Can't you just tell it's half term week! lol...and yes the porch is leaking again! 😐
24-10-2011 3:33 PM
Mixing
placing on a try in the oven
Thats baking in my book 😐
Right time I got moving, need a quick trot into town then at vets again at teatime for more doggy jabs
Don't eat all that at once :-x
