Well mum finally came out of hospital last night only to be re-admitted with heart failure this morning. Well done mum, that's a record.....14 hours discharge this time! So tired, but back to the hospital visiting again

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Oh Gina, I feel so sorry for you.  I know that shattered feeling very well indeed with spending one night at the hospital with my mum when they kept her in in May last year.  It seriously takes it out of you.  Hope that your mum is feeling better.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Good evening folks.

Went shopping today - major mistake. All I wanted was a zip up hooded fleece for grandson and some soft sleeveless, simple baby dresses for granddaughter. Could I find anything even vaguely resembling what I wanted - of course not.

Feeling really upset and weepy now as before my accident I could have made these simple garments in a couple of hours.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Aww stroppy...don't be upset...it's not your fault that you can't do these things...

but...your grandson can sit on your knee & go wheeling about...I bet his mates haven't got a granny who can do that!

(((((((((Stroppy)))))))))  I bet your grandson enjoys rides with you. 😉

PCC, it seems like that there a few of us that need hugs and why not.  I know that I said this a while back but we may be a daft lot but we are here for each other.  That's what friends are for.

Hugs to everyone.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

PCC have you ever tried any CBT for your panic attacks??

It's a really good therapy and it's the only thing that's worked for me, I'm still currently doing it and moving slowly and steadily along.

The biggest and most useful thing that I've learned, is not to fight the panic, accept it for what it is, understand and believe that it wont hurt you no matter how bad you may feel, and just go with it 🙂

It's not really the being on your own that is scaring you hun, it's having panic attacks while your on your own that's doing it.

Then the thing is, we end up in this cycle of fear, we get scared, we get another scary thought, we get scared again.......and on and on it goes 🙂

If you are interested, I can give you the link to the programme that I am using, you do it all online, in your own home and in your own time, the books are downloadable and there are videos that you can either watch online or download to your PC, whichever you prefer.

The therapist who wrote this programme is not only a fully qualified CBT therapist, but he was also agoraphobic and suffered panic attacks, so he really knows his stuff.

His name is Robin and he is so helpful and supportive 🙂

The programme is called "CBT4PANIC" and the good news is that Robin is now offering his programme completely free of charge to all who wish to try it 😄 There are no catches or anything, it's 100% cosha.

If you type it into google, you should easily find it. Don't be put off by it saying on the home page that you get a free trial, as that was the old way and it's now 100% free of charge 😄

I would highly recommend Robins programme to anyone, I was agoraphobic and completely housebound from 2004 up to the end of last year, when I started this programme, I'm now able to go out and put it into practice and am making gradual progress 😄

If you need any more information just give me a shout.

Morning all.  Hugs and kisses to those that need them.

Hope that everyone who was feeling under the weather for whatever reason is soon feeling heaps better.

It's a bit cloudy here at the moment and it looks a lot like rain.  Never mind.  The gardens need it.

Would love a week away from hospital duty but would feel so guilty for not going. Had to miss 3 days last week as I had a streaming cold & didn't want to pass it & all it's dire consequences on to the respiratory ward.
