Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

When I have problems like that I always rethread top & bottom & it usually solves the problem.:-)

Can you carefullu unpick a tiny seam & slip it out? Then ladder stitch it back together by hand.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Simple remedy merlin.  Use the quilt on your bed instead of the sofa,. Leave the pin in situ but open it.  Put the pin through your nose.  Not only will it add to the beauty of your other peircings, it will stop the quilt from sliding off the bed in the night. 😄

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

i have done some

but......... well, its all squares, very simple

i quited parts more to hold it all together rather than pattern, does that make sense?

i went with the squares

all the squares in the middle are patterned, and it has a border of squares, but self coloured, i did each of the squares on the border

will that be enough?

i didnt do every single square in the middle

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I would say the max measurement between quilting lines should be no more than 9". A bit less if possible. 🙂

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

If the quilting is more than 9" apart some waddings can 'break up' or move inside the quilt & cause lumps. Think of feathers in a duvet.:-) Your distance between stitching sounds perfect.:-D
