Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

you should take master B down for a visit during spring break, do you the world of good to get away and he would love it, the other 3 can fend for themselves or kill each other in your absence!

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

it can work chez, no doubts

girls have so many opportunities, more so than ever before, and she has many many years to have children

for me personally, i want both my daughters to enjoy life while the have no responsibilities

i met my husband before i was 18, its not that i dont think young relationships can work, obviously i dont think that, i am glad i travelled and worked in london etc before i had mine, thats all

2 of mine are at uni, they travel all over and enjoy every minute of it all, its great watching them and their friends,

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I totally agree....

18 is way too young to raise a child in this day and age....

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I don't wish to offend but I have to say I think it is way too young and would have been, for me personally, at that age.

I left home at 22 and didn't get married until I was 26, and I didn't even get that right.  I do however have all the great memories of those years before I was married and all the fun (outrageous) things I did.  I work with girls in their 30s and 40s who are only nowgetting the chance to travel/study and are regretful about that.

(((Numpty))) - you were missed - I need a replacement for 'my heart bleeds purple pi$$ for him' - worked a treat. :8}

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

not knowing the young couple it's hard to comment on whether they would be doing the right thing..I just wanted to point out that it can work.. and if it doesn't then mistakes are there to learn from...

however If she has no aspirations to go into catering I can see why a week in a kitchen wouldn't appeal...

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Soz, was off being the shoulder to weep on:-x

Chez, I met OH when we were 17, am now 42 and still together so know 1st hand that it CAN work.

The BF is 19, has never worked, lives with his mum, new step-dad and 9 other siblings, no one works, live in a £900 a month rented house that HB pay for. He sits on his arris all day playing x-box, his dream job is being a doorman, which he can't do as he only has full sight in one eye. He is nice enough to H but he is happy to sit back and let her do all the work. She thinks she can go to college, work part time and raise a child. The BFs mother told her that if they do have a baby, then the social will help them:Owhat sort of role model is thatX-(
