Thanks for that. I do trust my local garage. They are a small family business & have often done small jobs for me in the past & not charged so I don't think they will take advantage.:-D I should have some sort of idea later today.

Expensive enough but not as much as it could have been! Two Valves to be replaced. Wish I had bought a Japanese car!

I have had Japanese cars in the past & they have always been so reliable & never let me down. I was just unlucky with this Ford I guess. Only had it since September.:-(

My son is a mechanic up in Yorkshire (how I miss him) & he works all the hours of the clock & still has no money! Mind you they have four Rotties, two children & both smoke! 😐

But Maggie, those children are much too young to smoke!:O

Sorry about your car Maggie.:_|  Not only the expense but just when you wanted it for your trip.  Good job you've got a lift lined up.

😮 i have spent today butchering the same hello kitty quilt cover on taras littlies bed!

Lolly had it when she had a single bed, now she has a double

so i spent today making it into a  quilt:-D

it has a black and white spotty border at the top and bottom, so i used that for the binding (MUCH easier to sew than the thick stuff i used the other day)

i've just this minute finished it!

i shall take one in the morning in the light

i just brought it upstairs to show Lolly and noticed 2 threads

so i folded it and abandoned it, but apart from that its finished

it took me all day from around 10 and i had no lunch or dinner

its nothing fancy, its 12 panels

i wanted to practise binding, so made the quilt as simple as possible

i am enjoying learning this bit now though:-D
