When he started a couple of years ago with an air pistol OH came in absolutely furious saying son & friend had been shooting at beer cans in the garden. I said I couldn't see much of a problem as long as they cleared up (neighbours are holiday homes).

Then he pointed out they weren't using empty cans!!!! They were using OH's draft Guiness!!! :_|

Grey and damp here, but at least it's not frosty.

Housework and a trip to Mum's today.

Oh dear Maggie.

Happened to one of my cars once a few years ago. Think it cost about £600 to fix 😞

btw i hope yours wouldn't be that expensive ,  bro's  car needed a lot of work, the garage had it over 2 wks, most of the valves needed replacing

He is taking the head off this afternoon so will then know how much damage has been done. I won't get it back for the weekend but a friends hubby is taking us down to Devon.

It's always the labour isn't it. Why aren't car mechanics loaded? Or are they?

My son is a mechanic up in Yorkshire (how I miss him) & he works all the hours of the clock & still has no money! Mind you they have four Rotties, two children & both smoke! 😐

Mr Stan was a mechanic and mot tester with his own business however that went some time back but at least we get our own cars done.

Now works as a quality technician for a huge company as more money in it.

But he's always available for advice and to tell you if costings are right Maggie it you need him.
