Bit of a panic on here at the moment. Pippas christening is next sunday & Yve & Rob had booked a pub for a big party afterwards.
Rob was at football yesterday (he's a coach for a kids football team) when one of the kids dads asked him if he knew that the pub had closed down. Instant panic & a quick drive over proved that the info was correct. Locals said that the manager has done a runner with the takings.
Spent last night phoning round venues to try & get a late booking, luckily it seems that the first choice of venue, which had been booked, may now have a cancellation for next sunday so fingers crossed that that is confirmed today. Then phone calls to everyone who has RSVP'd to let them know the change of venue.
So busy, busy, busy! Never mind it could be worse, everyones healthy!

morning ladies:-D
confused about the clocks
i thought they went forward
but some things change themselves automatically (sky, phones, radio controlled clock) but i altered them all anyways, so i have no idea what chuffin time it is:_|
i thought about it for 5 minutes and decided i dont care enough to spend any more time thinking about it!:^O
30-10-2011 11:12 AM
It's 11.11 Merlin, unless Scotland is different! Where have you been? Did you bring the smilies back?
30-10-2011 11:13 AM
We've only got one clock that changes itself plus the two computers. Hubby's changed some, I've changed the grandmother clock and the rest still say the wrong time, including the cooker and the microwave.:|
30-10-2011 11:16 AM
:_|i've messed up the heating timer
now it has lots of little lines in the display
so i've left it
not really been anywhere, its just been a busy couple of days
buuuuuuuuuuut i have found a new (to me) thing to do
rags!
i had bits left when i made that scarf
so i have started making a rug
its soooooooooooo addictive
i'm nearly finished my 1st one
and i had to make rags (out of co-ordinating cloth
but i made a rag wreath as well
i think i may stop there
or i will end up in overkill:^O

I don't see why we need clocks on cookers & microwaves. You should have an option to just use the timer.
30-10-2011 11:25 AM
my cooker wont turn on if the clock isnt set
it drives me nuts
we get power cuts, and it takes ages to set the bloomin thing!
30-10-2011 4:31 PM
Look what I have made.:-)
30-10-2011 4:55 PM
*waits for Merlin*:-p
Niceeeeeeeeeeeeee Patch:-D
30-10-2011 5:02 PM
Also waiting for Merlin.;-)
30-10-2011 5:11 PM
yep, it's virtually got 'Merlin' written all over it.
Talking of that, went to a friends sons birthday yesterday, she's not long had her kitchen done (for an obscene amount of money). It's all hi-gloss white, with black flooring, tiles etc & red accessoriess. But do the younger generation not cook as much as we do. The units are virtually empty on top (there is minimalist & there is non=existant), any shelves just seemed to have one thing on them & there weren't many cupboards for storage. Where would people keep baking tins, storage containers, etc?
30-10-2011 5:57 PM
Ooooh yes thats deffo a Merlin cushion , is it an mdcc? off to look whats on .
30-10-2011 6:03 PM
No it's not MDCC. I have a quilt listed though.:-)
30-10-2011 6:05 PM
That shouted out merlin as soon as I saw it! It's very nice Maggie. You ought to make them all winter and then have a stall somewhere next summer when all the holiday makers are there with plenty of money.:-D
