Oooo Huggles will be going up in the air right now 😄 I hope she enjoys herself, I'd be too scared to do it.
Glad your all done & dusted Maggie 🙂
Nice to here how your getting on Hippy, apart from the hobbling that life sounds good to me :-x
I maybe putting Merlin's "glaze" on this afternoon, I've been invited to visit a house to see the nursery for a still to arrive 1st baby 😐
I feel abit mean actually, she's a lovely girl, she was a friend of my Chris's, she got in touch when he died & calls maybe twice a year to see how we are, I've knit her a few bits but really don't want to start visiting 😐

While you lot have been flying around in planes, talking to dogs on 'phones and even hitting poor little dogs in the faces with frying pans(I've already reported that to the RSPCA) I've been slaving away making my granddaughter a bag. I don't suppose she wants a bag, but hey ho!
It's even got a proper magnetic clasp. What a job they are, it kept sticking to the foot of the machine!!X-(

That's nice.:-)

Yep am healing slowly - can sort of walk with 2 legs plus crutches. Still a long way to go - 5 more weeks in plaster plus afterwards physio etc etc/
Ummmmmmmm @ chatting to dog on the phone.
Lovely bag CG 🙂 All little girls love bags.

Has Huggles landed yet or is she still up there 😮

I sat & talked to a couple of the cats a lot ........... well, one did talk back when you talked to it :O:|:8}

Come on all you lurkers, post & say hello ....................... or even just tell us what a sensible lot we are :^O
CG your bag will be much appreciated I'm sure, I bet both your GDs are proud of all the things you make them 🙂
What about "Maya" did she like her personalised bunting I bet she did 😄
16-09-2011 8:18 PM
hello...
you are such a sensible lot.

OooH!!! ck, just the person I was hoping to see :-x
I'll answer your question first, funnily enough the gardener came today, she only ever comes about once a month and it was only a week this time. She said she's only seen Maya once since I gave her the bunting and she was naughty so she didn't give it to her.:|
Now, knitting.X-( As you know I'm trying making these slipper ugg boot things. They're supposed to be in fisherman's rib but I didn't know how to do it so I did the first pair in k1 p1 one row and knit the second row. I'm just starting the second pair and I really want to do the rib, but even after watching youtube I still can't do it, I seem to end up with big holes.:_| Any tips please?:-D

Fishermans Rib :O:|
I just follow patterns CG, don't know what that is ........ well I might, I just won't know thats what its called, sorry 😞
perhaps Learning might be along, she will know 🙂
What does your pattern say ?
I've never done a row of plain though when I've been doing K1, p1, the second row is usually the same.
I tend to do K2, P2 for rib, I think it makes it more stretchy.
16-09-2011 9:27 PM
Apparently you k1 p1 but you k1 on the row below. I can't find the right one 'below'!X-( This is what I finished up doing last time (after I gave up on the fisherman)
This is fisherman's rib (sorry about the refection of the flash on the shiny pattern)

No, thanks chez, never mind German, it looks double Dutch to me. I've just been looking again on google and they all give different instructions. I think perhaps they mean the 'row' below tather than the 'stitch' below. There's one woman on there holds the wool in her left hand, how confusing is that???:O
16-09-2011 9:51 PM
OK, panic over thanks.:-D I think I've done it. It's sooooo obvious and soooo easy!:-D I'm soooo thick!:_|
16-09-2011 9:54 PM
"Continental knitting" is when you hold the wool with your left hand, apparently it supposed to be easier & quicker 😐
Can you not knit them in normal rib CG, maybe with your K st, K it through the back of the stitch ....... that tightens the stich up so will lessen your chance of holes 🙂

Thats good 😄
I was about to say post a bit of the pattern for me to see 🙂
