Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I'm good thank you Merlin, still having problems with my wifi disconnecting so not online quite as much 😞   I'm waiting for silly son to ring me, he's gone to London today & was booked into a b & b in Peckham !

I somehow think he's not going to ring now X-(

He's had 2 nights of riots in Liverpool close by, you wouldn't think he'd want to risk them in London would you but they don't listen :_|

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

My nephew used to live above the 'Jamie Oliver' shop ????? which was in the middle of it in Peckham, I don't know if it was damaged at all, but he's just moved to a house 'round the corner' so was ok.:|

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

One sad thing about these riots..

we live between 2 shopping areas which are being patroled regulary. I (and my neighbours) didn't even bat an eyelid today when 4 vans of police drove down our usually quiet road..normally that would cause quite a stir..

Morning

Thanks for all the good wishes.

Just keeping busy at the moment. Think waiting is the hardest part.

On a positive note, at least it isn't raining today.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Hello all!

Firstly I'm really sorry to hear about your Mum Learning but as others have said a positive approach does seem to help.

And secondly, I don't think I have any news! Oscar came down on Saturday (with his parents you understand) & he's getting big. Well not very big because he's still only 11 weeks old. 😐

Haven't knitted anything for ages, I think I'm a Winter knitter.

Afraid I'll have to decline your kind offer Merlin - we have plenty of our own now 😞

My Grandson has taken his first steps, just a couple, but he isn't even 10 months yet 😮

Has also learnt to clap his hands - just in time for Daddy coming home from Libya 🙂

We keep getting showers and then it brightens up again.

My son walked at nine months, my daughter not until eighteen months!:O

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

It's usually the older one who walks first because the parents don't know any better & encourage it! :^O Younger ones know they are safer crawling with older siblings running around I think.

My youngest learnt to walk without me realising. :_| We went on holiday to France & to be honest he spent nearly the whole week either in a play pen or asleep. We got home, took him out of the car seat & sat him in the middle of the sitting room & he got up & just strolled into the kitchen! :^O No wobbles or anything! He'd perfected it over the week in a 4 foot pen!

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

hi ladies, just read most of the week's news

best wishes to your mum Mags

i've been up to see my family, had a lovely peaceful week - no baby seagulls mewling day and night, lots of  weeding & picking stuff from the garden, seem to have brought half of it with me  🙂

just made a plum sponge out of some of the approx7 pounds of plums i ended up fetching home
