That will be a baileys later as my wine bottle has sprunged a leak. I think the boys might have had a small glass each too!!

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Good idea Hippy. Roger Daltrey was brilliant as were most of the other acts.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Have just seen the squeeky cats thing - ummmmmmm wonder what goes through peoples heads to come up with that sort of thing??

Loving Seelo Green - brilliant voice.

However I still want to batter smug Jools with the soggy end of his ripped of arm - sorry.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

My son has met him a few times as he used to work band transport at Glastonbury and thinks he is a really great guy. I like him too. I would be in bed by 11 on NYE if he wasn't on.:-D

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Am sure he is lovely.

Guess last night I wasn't in the mood for the whole happy new year nonsense - seemed so false.

Perhaps I need a glass or several to really enjoy it.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

A neighbour gave me two little bottles of homemade 'stuff' for Christmas. They've got nice printed labels on and one says Raspberry Vodka and the other says Seriously Slow Suffolk Brandy.  I don't know if I dare drink them, they look like cough mixture!:O

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

they look like they have been made by someone who knows what they are doing

they look nice and clear, and is that a proper wax seal on the small one?

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

CK (or anyone) can I ask a stupid knitting question?

Trying another cable pattern and it says that on all even rows to
K all Ksts and P all Psts.

Sounds dead simple, but when the stitches are twisted as in cable, I'm having trouble distinguishing.
I know P stitches have a loop at the bottom, but do you have any other advice please?

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I thought she said they'd made it, but their house isn't called Red House Farm nor is it a picture of their house.  There's a cork inside the wax bit which just pulled out of the bottle, but the other one had to be 'broken' open.

The raspberry one tastes of raspberries 😮 and has a kick (and tastes like cough mixture) and the second one, which I thought would be better because I like brandy, just tastes of sweetness, has a kick (and tastes of cough mixture).  I'll keep it in case of emergency, ie. I run out of wine.;-)
