Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD

You've been having fun again ]:)

Not finished his  fancy dress, it has sleeves but I still need to make a hood, he's gone out in a bought scream costume tonight, so I have until tomorrow now to finish the grim reaper cloak 😄
Its a good job because I wasn't home to finish it, we decided to take MIL to Whitby to see the Goths 😐 wasn't sure what she would make of them all ......................... but she loved it :^O  I told her we would both go back next year dressed up 😛

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD

She's 86,  at 79 she was jet skiing & parasailing on holiday with us, at 80 she found she had angina so wouldn't come on holiday with us anymore .......................... because she wouldn't be able to join in anymore :^O:-x

She sounds like Merlin's Mums friend, she had a knee replacement 3 yrs ago & moaned about all the "old" people on the ward.
I suppose that's why she's finding it hard to cope now, as she has always been so active 😞

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD

Ck, she sounds like a fab mother in law, great that she was able to do all those things at that age 🙂

My uncle ( i havnt seen him for the past 8 months or so) was put in a home due to his dimentia, things got so bad, he to was active, worked a farm all his life, as soon as he stopped due to sale of farm, he got depressed his memory started to deteriorate, and all went downhill from there, luckily he still remembers his close family but it's awful & painful for family to watch it take over.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD

Morning

Clocks all changed here - boys did theirs and MrHippy did the rest.

Towery - I have a confession - I haven't sent you the money for the felt yet - lack of £1 coins!! Have them now ready to send & I can't find the envelope - can you PM me your address please & thankyou.

Have a head like a sieve at the moment - not feeling 100%. Hoping after my blood results come back this week I might know why and can work on getting better and back to 'normal'.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD

Hello 🙂

Wow, Gems you have a lovely Mummy & daddy 😄

Sorry to hear your not well Hippy, I hope you get to the bottom of things soon 🙂

I'm kept busy with MIL, she doesn't want to go home to an empty home so will be here a few more days so I  don't think I'll get round to listing for MDCC this month, lack of time & I haven't finished what I was planing on making  😞

I finished my grim reaper cloak & its on its way to Liverpool with Son X-(
he's a pic but as its black it doesn't show up too well + the fact one arms tucked inside it in his sling 😐
I'm quite pleased though as i don't normally sew & had no pattern to follow 😄
