Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Thanks Stan.  My bedroom looks an awful lot better.

It's cold here as well and it's never stopped raining all day.  We've just had to put the heat up as well.  Must admit that cold and wet weather doesn't do my joints much good and they're not brilliant at the best of times.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Evening

We have also been decorating. Sitting Room all done and all new interior doors fitted (what a mess!)

Have also had my daughter and youngest Grandson visiting - was lovely to see them.

Phase 2 is Dining Room, stairs and landing and will be starting soon.

Pleased to read your good news Stroppy - well done!

We have had some bad news re my FIL - cancer has spread and basically it's just a matter of time. So it looks like the cancer will get him before the Alzheimers - so sad.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Sorry to read about your FIL Mags.

CB, I will do my best to keep my room tidy.  It has taken a while to put everything back but I have one more small box of things to put back which I will do tomorrow.  In a couple of weeks, mum's going to ring the decorator to ask him to do her bedroom which won't be as bad as it was having my room done.  My mum's bedroom is about twice the size of my room.  After that, I think we might have the living room done.  We'll have to wait and see.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Afternoon all.

I've now got everything back into my bedroom so I can sit back and relax now.  Earlier on, Grace's nan rang to ask me if I'd print about 25 pictures off of the wedding.  Steph let us borrow the CD's with the 983 photos on that were taken at the wedding.  I feel shattered just doing that.  I tried uploading a couple of photos on here the other day but I kept getting a message saying that the files were too big.  I'll have another go tomorrow.  There's a lovely photo of Grace having a lie down in the vestry whilst the registers were being signed.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Thanks Merc.  I have had those curtains for about 5 or 6 years.  My quilt cover matches as well.  Considering that my bedroom is so small, it's amazing how much stuff I manage to fit in it.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Afternoon all.

It's mighty cold here at the moment.  It poured with rain here this morning and it's been blowing a gale all day.  Just wish that it would warm up a lot.  Not much chance of that at this time of year is there?

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

PCC - daughter has had a C3 for a couple of years, lovely little car and never a minutes trouble - has had a new battery and new tyres but not needed anything else. I have a 4 year old C4 Grand Picasso that has been trouble free.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Afternoon all.

Hope that you get a new car sorted soon PCC.  I've got a Fiesta.  In the last year, I've had to have new tyres all round, two new brake lights and a new bulb for one of the headlights.  I'm hoping that's it for the time being.

Been to the doctor's about a problem with my ankle.  He seems to think that it's progressing well but I have to go back in a couple of weeks.  Coming back from the doctors, a woman decided that she'd pull out in front of me on a roundabout.  I had to slam on and blow the horn.  She did apologise but she shouldn't have been on the phone and she should have been concentrating on what was happening around her.  Oh it does annoy me.  The woman wasn't young either but she did apologise but that's not the point.  At least we didn't have an accident.
