THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Afternoon

Good to read that everyone is busy.

Chris, I would have taken her reg number and reported her!

Stroppy, do you have a ventilation problem with your Picasso?

I have a 2L Deisel Picasso Desire and have a terrible problem demisting and drying the large windscreen. It also steams up easily and I have to have the air con on all the time.

Second question is a bit of a long shot. Does anyone on here have the Jean Greenhowe knitted hedgehog pattern please? It's in a book which is no longer available,  (Knitted Toys) and a friend is desperately looking for the pattern if anyone can help please?

Sorry Mags but I don't have the pattern you want.  Hope that you find it soon.

It's been cold here all day long and it's just started raining as well.

There's nothing worse than finding that you've run out of batteries for the camera.  I bought quite a few batteries for my camera just before Steph and Graham's wedding and I've still got quite a few left.

Mags - have never had a problem with ventilation on the Picasso. It will very rarely steam up a bit if it is absolutely throwing it down, but it clears very quickly with just the fan on - only need the air-con in very hot weather. Might be that the ducts are blocked or something. Ours is also a 2l diesel and lives outside in the car park (we don't have a garage).

Interesting - I think I'll get someone to have a look at mine. Someone said that changing the pollen filter helps too.

THe inside of my screen streams with condensation, so I have to dry off with a cloth. As soon as I start driving it steams up - so frustrating!

Afternoon all.  Had a quiet day today apart from getting some housework done.  Went into to town this morning and then went for my swim.

We've had quite a bit of rain here today but it's stopped now.  It's still quite cool but at least the nights are getting lighter now.

Hope that everyone is as well as can be expected and hugs to all that need them.

Just feel like I'm cracking up.  My avatar seems to have vanished.  Can someone please help me to get it back?  I've managed it before but I've forgotten how I did it.  Silly me.

Books - you need to find your feedback page, on the right hand side there should be a link to "view eBay my world" (about half way down). If you edit the profile on there to restore your avatar the avatar will appear back here, but there is sometimes a delay of up to a couple of hours. There is a button for "edit profile", click on that, then there should be a little pencil icon in the corner of the picture, if you click on the pencil you will be able to select your picture.

When I was on here a few minutes ago, my avatar wasn't there.  Goes off to do as Stroppy suggested and my avatar was on my feedback page. Come back here and it has reappeared and I didn't even need to do anything.  Methinks that it must have been a little glitch but thanks again Stroppy for your help.

Afternoon all.  Hope that everyone is as well as can be expected.  It's cold here today and it's cloudy as well.  Hopefully we won't get any snow.  Now I can cope with rain but not snow and ice.

Hugs to all that need them.

We had nearly 2 inches of snow this morning - it turned to rain and is all washed away.

Pelted down with mixed rain and snow just as I had to get out of the car - drenched by the time I had got into my wheelchair and trying to get warm now.

Hope that you soon warm up Stroppy.  I admit that where I live, we don't seem to get too many extremes of weather.  It's still mighty cold here and we've still got the cloud.  We've had rain forecast for the next few days.
