Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I bet that you won't do that in a rush again will you CB?  Sorry but I haven't got anyone who can rub you down with an oily rag.  Must admit that my right ankle has certainly been playing up today but my excuse is the wet weather we have had today.  Hope that you soon feel better CB.

(((((CB))))) - there you are CB - a few hugs for you.  Sorry but I haven't got any hunky men that I can send you.  Just do what I do and pop a couple of pills in.  That normally helps me to rattle around a lot.

We're off out for the day again tomorrow for a spot of retail therapy.  I need it after the week I've had.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

You can have "Him indoors" any time you want - he's useless at giving a massage though.

I am distinctly fed up. Consultant has decided that "the hole" is closing up too quickly, and not filling in from the bottom. The aim is to keep it open and it gradually fill from the bottom. Hw's trying to prevent the top closing and leaving a hole deep down as that will just get infected again.

They're going to do a sonagram tomorrow - they put some special liquid in "the hole" and take xrays to show the full extent of the cavity and they can take accurate measurements.

He wants to operate again, to clean it all out and to enlarge "the hole". I know that he is right, but I can't stop crying and I have so far refused to give consent. I have said that I will think about it.

Infection count is up again, blood pressure is down, and I feel sick and dizzy all the time.  Cough is back with a vengeance - coughing often makes me sick.

I am beginning to wonder if this will ever be over.

My heart goes out to you Stroppy. I can't imagine how you put up with all the pain & discomfort. He must think it's for the best so sleep on it tonight & make the right decision in the morning.xx

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

It sounds similar to when I had leg ulcers.  I had one for two years.  It 'healed up' many times, with a scab on the top that would sit there for a week or two.  Lovely.  I could forget about it.  No dressing, no pain, it was getting better!!  Until the scab just dissolved and the hole underneath was bigger than before.  In the end I had to admit defeat, I went to the nurse who refered me to the leg ulcer clinic.  They said it had to heal from the bottom up.  I don't know how they got it to do that, and at one point they had to scrape the top off because it was being naughty and trying to heal at the surface before it was it's turn. After I'd tried for two years, they did it in 3 months.  You know it makes sense stroppy and I know you've had enough, but really, you know you have no choice.  Dig out that remarkable spirit again and slap a smile on your face.  You can do it.  XXX

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Morning all.

Sorry to hear about your news Stroppy.  You take as long as possible to decide even though you know that having the operation would help in the long run.  (((((Stroppy))))).

I will be going for a quick swim before we go out so I will have to be getting ready soon.

Hugs to all that need them.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Morning everyone

Hugs to everyone that needs them.

Sounds like everyone is enjoying their swimming, i only learnt in my 30s and don't really like it , have to be near the side. Ruby had her first proper lesson on Monday, she didn't like it cause she doesn't like her hair getting wet.
