Cookie - that is AMAZING!.
Maggie - you are an absolutely ace quilter and I have no doubt whatsoever about your ability to reproduce that pattern. I still have the lovely fuchsia wall hanging that you made for me years ago - it has pride of place in my room, and everyone admires it.

Cookie I love that. I can see a bidding war over that one!
Stroppy I saw a picture of the Fuchsia the other day & it reminded me. Glad you still like it.

Cookie that is brilliant. I bet that took ages to do.

Morning all. It's still blowing a gale here and it looks like that we are going to have more rain on top of what we have already had.
Hope that everyone is as well as can be expected. Hugs to all that need them.

Sunny and windy here. Off to my Knitting Group, then home to pack as we are off tomorrow morning.
Will be glad to see some sun after this distinctly autumnal weather.

Afternoon all. Had to go for a biopsy last week on what I think is a patch of eczema on my chest which I have had for years. My GP did the biopsy and told me that it would take 10 days for them to get the results back. I've had a phone call from the doctor's today and I have to go and see him at 3.50 for the results. I'm dreading it. My mum's coming with me. Will let you know how I get on later.

Just got back from the doctors and the diagonosis is superficial basal cell carcinoma. Our GP has made me an appointment with a plastic surgeon at one of our local hospitals for 4th October at 3.10. Our GP has said that it could just be treated with cream which will hopefully clear it. Fortunately, we have a very good GP but my head is just spinning at the moment. I'm only going to tell Steph when she gets back from her honeymoon as she has enough on her plate at the moment.

That must have been a nasty shock for you. But as skin cancers go it's not a very bad one, apparently. A friend (who is 83) had one cut out of the very tip of her nose last year and you wouldn't know it had been there now if you didn't know where to look.
Don't let it spoil the wedding for you - after all, it has been there for years and a just a cream to deal with it doesn't sound too bad at all.

It was a shock but as you rightly say, it may be treatable by cream and it doesn't seem too serious. I've spoken to Steph on the phone earlier but I didn't tell her as she's got a lot on at the moment and I don't want to worry her. I'm going to enjoy the wedding on Saturday.
