Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Awww thanks Merc.  I normally never moan. The way that I look at it is there's always folk worse off than me.

Wall to wall sunshine here this morning.  Let's hope it stays that way.

Must go now.  Even more hugs to those that need them.

Just a quick drop in as we are on our way to a meeting with SS re FIL.

Could be interesting.

Hope Stroppy is feeling better, and Chris, and anyone else action-smiley-031.gif

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Stroppy is indeed feeling better thanks. Temperature and blood pressure both closer to "normal". Whilst blood pressure is still lower than they would like, I can now sit up without passing out, so I have been allowed to have a shower (bliss).

First of the microbiology results are back, although "the hole" is lovely and clean, 2 bugs have grown, so more anti-biotics added to the meds.

Actually felt hungry at lunch time - the first time for over a week, and the junior doctor managed to work out the microwave in the staff room and made me a bacon sarnie - great.

Hope you all have a good day.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Hi CB and thanks for asking.  Joints not so good.  Normally, my left knee is a good indicator of rain but it's been bad for a good few weeks if not months.  Just hope that I'm not too bad on 21st September as that's when the wedding is.  Never mind, I'll just have to wait about another 15 or so years before I can have some joint replacements.  The other night my left knee locked whilst I was in bed.  Three years ago, we changed GP's.  Our previous GP couldn't understand what I meant when I said 'My left knee locks'.  Honestly, men!!!  I'll just plod on regardless just as women do.

Got to take mum to the doctor's tomorrow for a blood test and then rush back for a haircut as the hairdresser comes at 12.15.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

A friend called in this afternoon who had a knee replacement in March and she's got an appointment for the other one doing on 23rd September.  That was only a month before my hip op and although the op itself was ok, I don't think I'd want another one so soon. They take quite a bit of getting over and I still can't wear my jeans because of the swelling.  Mind you, I don't need another one, she does, so perhaps it makes you more inclined.  You ought to keep on at them books, keep complaining and perhaps they'll get fed up and refer you, just to get rid of you!  Woman Wink

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Thing is CG, they won't budge.  I've tried nagging and nagging and nagging again.  Thing is, the DWP think I'm miraculously fit for work.  Can't walk too far, can't sit too long, can't kneel down and I'm just fed up on all fronts.  Had my tribunal this morning and managed a total of 6 points out of a total of the 15 needed.  It's still 6 more than ATOS gave me though. So I have now got to go through the whole process again starting tomorrow.  I'm losing the will to live.
