We had a bit of rain this morning but it's brightened up. You're right Maggie. It has been forecast for bad weather. I hope that it isn't too bad on Wednesday as we are off out for the day.

Morning all. Hopes that Stroppy is feeling better now.
I suppose that in keeping with a good part of the country, hurricane Gonzolo has arrived with a vengeance. I just hope that everyone stays safe.
Hugs to all that need them.

Good morning. Not much wind at the moment, in fact it's pretty calm out there but the workers haven't turned up as it's forecast rain and they have cementing to do.
I hardly slept after 4 am. I don't really know why although my shoulders are very painful, I think it's arthritis and my legs were threatening to cramp every time I moved. I expect that's what I get for physically going to Tesco. Never mind, I had a good mooch round and bought quite a few little treats. But I have NO idea how that bottle of brandy got in my trolley!!!

Stiff and sore (as I always am after the muscle spasms), and the siatica is playing up. It's another day for the painkillers of last resort and snoozing.
Weather is wet and windy, so bed is probably the best place.
Couldn't sleep, so I decided to price check the Asda receipts - I now have vouchers for nearly £15.00. Amazing that on some receipts Waitrose were cheaper than Asda.

Yes Kate, it has it here with a vengeance. Whilst I was in town this morning, we had horizontal rain it was that bad. At least I did manage to shelter in one of our shopping arcades. When I was going to the car after I'd had my swim, I got blown there as opposed to walking there.
Hope that you feel better soon Stroppy.
I was told on Sunday that children would be having swimming lessons every day next week with it being half term. The receptionist who told me that, this morning denied ever having said it. I was not a happy over it as I'd told a handful of the members that there were swimming lessons. I think that I'll be cancelling my membership there soon as the staff can't seem to be bothered and swimming lessons are taking over and members are just ignored. I've found another health club with a pool which is nearer to where I live and I would only be paying the same amount to go.

Morning all. At least the wind seems to have calmed down a bit thankfully. We're off to Bury today and I can't wait. They have a fantastic market and two fantastic shopping centres. Honestly, they put my town to shame.
I might be back before we go out as I ain't going swimming this morning.

We've just got back from our day out and we've had a lovely day. I bought some dark pink wool to knit a jumper and I also bought some red wool to knit another jumper. Mum bought some blue wool for me to knit her a cardigan so I'm going to kept quite busy. It will keep me out of mischief though. We also bought some baby grows for Steph's baby. Mum bought me a new pair of jeans and a pair of slippers for Christmas. We had our lunch at a lovely fish bar and we had fish, chips and mushy peas. I can honestly that it was the best fish and chips I've had in a long while. Mum also bought herself a scarf as well. We've had a good day's retail therapy. When we got back, a friend rang me to say that she can't meet me and another friend for lunch tomorrow. Apparently, my friend's brother died last Saturday and her BIL died this morning so she's having a right time of it. There'll just be two of us for lunch tomorrow but I wish my other friend could come as well but it's so sad.
