pleasant here today, sea breeze so not too hot. Am sort of hoping for rain tonight so that I don't need to water the veggie plants, its turning cooler so I might be lucky. It has been a nightmare week with 2 sick dogs and OH's operation site becoming infected, so fingers crossed for a better week next week

Myra, I hope that your hubby and dogs are soon feeling better.

Good morning from a very wet nottinghamshire , at least the new guttering is beeing tested.
Building work is really coming on well , the Inside is taking shape now , electrian , plumbers , plasters next ....oh happy days making tea LOL
My bruising is fading at last & stitches coming off on Monday yay !

Afternoon all. Dull and cooler here (Merseyside) today. We've had a couple of light showers today.

Good Evening FHG...My iron died a couple of days ago, so have ordered a new one by Bosch.
It is from A***S...was £79.99, reduced to £29.99!!!
What on earth justifies nearly £80.00?
I'll let you know (maybe it has drill, saw & screwdriver attachments )
Today (although the sun has gone) OH purchased a lounger which, to me, is shaped just the way I liked my electric hospital bed...I would have paid a fortune to achieve the raised-knee position, & for £19.99, I now have it!
Oh, how the simple things can be the very bestest

Merc, is the iron gold plated? You have got a bargain there though. Hope that you enjoy using your new lounger. It sounds good.

Hopefully you'll escape the itchyness, when I sliced my hand open about 7 years ago (I made a mistake with my craft scalpel), it was awfully itchy when it began healing up, and not being able to scratch was dreadful

Hope that you are feeling better now Von.
Our iron came from a shop which closed several years ago. If my memory serves me right, it cost less than a fiver and it does its job very good job.

Afternoon all. My car failed its MOT today and they are still working on it. I should get it back soon though as I need it tomorrow as we are off out for the day. My mobile phone also decided that it would throw a hissy fit as well and I've had to buy a new one. What else can conceivably go wrong? Nothing I hope even though things are supposed to happen in threes.
