Afternoon all.  I've been busy this afternoon knitting a cardigan for my mum.  

Ed's idea might be a surprise and she may not want to divulge anything just yet.  Hope that you enjoy your trip to the craft shop ed.  I wish that we had a decent craft shop here.  There's a good wool shop in town.  I normally have a field day when they have a sale on.  A certain mother of mine will ask 'did you really need that?'  Of course I did. A girl can't have too many jumpers can she?

Balloon burst. I was going to make an advent calender set of drawers. When I looked at the drawers they were sadly £15 that was without the materials. Will think of something else.

It had 25 tiny little drawers it was nice but I would have to put things in it and as we are trying to give up sweets trying to find tiny things to go inside might be difficult.

You could stick together 25 matchboxes ed!  A bit of wallpaper round the outside and brass split pins as knobs.  Done!!

Well, that's what we used to do!

We weren't expecting to get the drive finished today (as we were told we would) because the forecast was for rain.  We haven't had a drop all day.

But it's been pretty hectic anyway with three men and a lot of mess in the kitchen as I wanted my sink swapping.

forgot to say I saw this massive advent calendar in H*me B**ga*n yesterday it had lovely pockets in it. There is no way I could compete with that though.

It's absolutely beautiful here today.  I have my son and granddaughters coming so I might take the girls and Molly to the rec.  They're staying for tea then I'm off to daughter's to babysit for her!!

Afternoon all.  I bet you're looking forward to your visitors Merc.  Don't do too much running around though or you'll wear yourself out.

It's quite bright here at the moment and it is a bit breezy as well.  We were going to do some gardening this afternoon but it is a bit on the cool side.

I'm getting on well with knitting my mum's cardigan.  I've got one and half fronts done and my mum's done the rib for the back.
