Waves at everyone.
The occupational terrorist is coming this afternoon to hopefully sort out a new mattress. The "man" is coming to do a pat test on my pump and to try and figure out if it needs a service - they've never had the same pump in continuous use for so long before. I've got the outreach nurse coming to do extra blood tests that the hossie forgot. I've got the district nurse coming to do a review of my incontinence pads - what's the betting that they all turn up at once, and right when I'm in the loo!

Good luck with all your visitors Stroppy.
I am just recovering after being Graced for about three hours. That child is motorised. She did quieten down when the hairdresser came but normal service was resumed when the hairdresser had gone. At least she slept when I was taking her and her mum home.

We had a few more spots of rain here earlier on but nowhere near enough to fill the rainwater butt. We could do with a lot more. Wouldn't it be brilliant if it rained overnight and it was nice during the day? We can but live in hopes.

Morning all just popping in for a catch up, Captain we have had loads of rain, we needed 2 of our water buts to be empty so we can move them, now they are half full, guess we are going to have to use buckets to empty them.
Sorry about Poppy Carol don't be too miserable, you had lots of lovely years with her.

Afternoon all. It's rather wet and miserable here weatherwise. It's not very warm either. I'm not used to it being so cool.

Jeepers who turned the tap on, heavens have opened here and now have a stream running down the driveway

I don't know who turned the tap on Stan. I presume that CB's got the rain as well. She was hoping for a spot of rain. It stopped for a while here earlier but it looks like it's started again.

Well I'm stuck in hossie for the weekend.
This morning in theatre verged on a restoration comedy. I had told them that my magnesium and calcium levels weren't right (I had been having twinges for hours), but would they do the blood tests and check - of course they as "experts" knew best and insisted that all would be fine, that they had only "topped up" on Monday.
So there we are in theatre, registrar happily washing out "the hole" when the muscle spasms started. Arms and legs going everywhere, registrar cursing and swearing, me sobbing with the pain. I ended up on the floor - those theatre trolleys aren't very wide!
Water and hydrogen peroxide everwhere as the registrar wasn't very quick at turning off his "jet washer". Theatre tech slipped, fell on top of me, so there's two of us writhing around on the floor.
Anaethetist just stood and stared, not got a clue what to do. Finally got his act together and got a calcium drip going. He gave me HUGE doses of muscle relaxant (never does anything to stop the spasms) so I had no co-ordination for hours after.
They may be trained medics, but there was a distinct lack of common sense - never occurs to any of them to dry the floor to stop any-one else slipping. The palaver of trying to use a portable hoist to get me back on the trolley once the muscle spasms had stopped would have been funny if it had not been serious.
Perhaps they might take a bit more notice of me next time.
"The hole" did get cleaned out and dressed, but I've got aches in muscles I never knew I had. I shall be black and blue tomorrow.
Oh well, I suppose it livened up the day for everyone.

well it's raining but I don't think it's put a lot in the water butt, send some over would you Stan please.
I'm so pooped! stayed extra in work today while OH went to get the car from the garage, it failed it's MOT on brake pipes and linings so two days work in the dealership!!!! £450 the poorer now.....

Sorry about all your problems Stroppy. Hope that you are soon feeling better.
The thing with cars CB is that they are an expensive necessity. As luck would have it, our car passed its MOT last week but I think that the breaks will need doing when it has its service in November.
