Say hello if you're online

the number of views compared to posts shows that lots of people pop in to look ( I know I do!), so here's your chance to say hello if you're lurking/browsing.

Re: Say hello if you're online

I'm really glad you were taking about casualty. I didn't realise it was on Sunday. Thankfully the clever freesat box knew to record it on a different day so we've just watched it!

Re: Say hello if you're online

I've never been abroad either, CG. If I have a holiday, it has to include my dogs. Really enjoying this thread, about general chit chat.

Re: Say hello if you're online

I love going abroad, I used to go all the time before I was married, have been once in 26 years of marriage and that was to Dublin.

My other half isn't interested in going abroad, which is ok as there are plenty of places to go here.

I would like to go one more time somewhere really special that I would never go again.

Re: Say hello if you're online

One of our days out this year CB is to Llandudno in August.  We'll be having lunch at the Queens first and then we'll have a couple of hours to do what we want with.  We are also going to Southport on 9th July.  We'll be having a drink and a scone at Dobbies garden centre after which we'll have an hour there and then go into Southport town centre for 2 to 3 hours.  It should be good.

Re: Say hello if you're online

Afternoon all.  We've had a busy afternoon.  I've mown the lawn and we've tidied up at the back.  There's still quite a bit to be done.  There's still some wood from the previous garage to get rid of so I've contacted the bulk rubbish department at the our council and they are coming to collect it on 12th August.  We are going for a food shop later which shouldn't take long.

Re: Say hello if you're online

Good Afternoon.

Finally managed to get a doctor's appointment - however he refused to give me a fit note even for reduced hours. He gave a note that says that I'm not fit for work for 90 days.

Busy working on a formal complaint to social services about the way that youngest son's provision is funded.

Re: Say hello if you're online

We went for a food shop at around 4.30 yesterday afternoon.  Just as we arrived at A*di, it started to rain but not a lot.  It made up for it whilst we were in there as the heavens opened and we got drenched.  The rain stopped after around half an hour but it lashed it down at around 10.30.  I'm glad that I got the lawn mown yesterday afternoon.

Re: Say hello if you're online

Ah the rain yesterday. It had been a lovely day right up until I left work on my way to the solicitors - walking distance on the other side of town. As I crossed the car park the heavens opened and it threw it down. I arrived at the soliitors looking like a drowned rat and proceeded to create a large puddle on their carpet.

Re: Say hello if you're online

At least I had a waterproof jacket with a hood which I used and I had an umbrella in the car which my mum used.  I did go and get the car and I picked my mum up so that she wouldn't get too wet.
