The last time I told a woman she reminded me of an elephant I ended up getting my face slapped! She didn't even let me complete the sentence and finish off with "because you never forget anything" - I think she got the impression I was referring to the size of her backside! Anyway Rose, it's good to have you back again - I don't tend to post up on here 'cos I usually just go straight to the Fun & Games section, but it has been strange without you around for a while. I always have a good laugh when I read the little comments you post up occasionally with your responses on the Fun & Games threads. Glad you're feeling better anyway - hope things start to settle down a bit and stop making you feel unwell.

Well actually CG, I think it is a compliment. I have always thought that you and Maggie were the Board's 'Elders' and I do not refer to your age in saying this. I think you both give honest, sage, thoughtful advice when required, as well as being slightly bonkers when that is required too
Elephants are very social animals, and within the group, the 'aunties' take turns in looking after the little ones. They are also capable of expressing emotion. Please Utube The Elephant March from Jungle Book (one of my fav ever films), CG is the one (senior female) 'having words' with the bumptious old Colonel and Rose, naturally, is the one who, without noticing, causes the pile-up.
I must be getting old, but I don't think they make films like this any more, well except 'Toy Story', which I love.
Yes its not age im thinking about when i say that its Sageness. I look on Ed and Captain as Aunties funnily enough. I think me and Saasher are the naughty children. Yeah im the little un walking behind chewing my trunk, not looking where im going and then falling over ha ha ha LOL!!!!
