It's a year ago Thursday she had her op to have a new cruciate ligament in her knee.  She has to go to the vet's tomorrow, I think she's done the other one!!:_|

Looks like we'll both be on crutches at the same time.:O

Sorry that's what it is but at least is being repaired for Lottie (( CG ))

Don't understand them keeping them in o'night though - like us, they do better back at home imo.

Glad Jack is improving a little, be good to see him up and about a bit 🙂

I think they keep them in because they need intravenous analgesic.  I expect it's pretty sore.:-(

Do you get an update later today after surgery?

We haven't heard anything yet, if they haven't rung when hubby comes in for his tea at five I'll ask him to ring.

Was just talking to somebody who came for some chicken food.  Her hubby is a knee surgeon where I'm having my hip done, anyway, she said it cost £8.000 for her lab to have a new elbow!!!  😮

(pity her hubby couldn't do it B-))

too right CG, I have no idea why they charge so much, blimey! if you went private and had your elbow done it wouldn't cost that!!!!!

Mind you, she was a bit 'one up man ship' I think.  She said her husband could do hips but he says it's just like putting shelves up, boring, so the fact that her dog had a worse leg than our dog and cost more to get fixed might be along the same lines.B-)

Hubby phoned the vets at 5.30.  She went away and came back and said the vet's busy at the moment, he'll ring you before seven.:|

They've just phoned.:-D  Everything went according to plan, they're just taking her out for a wee then they'll give her some pain killers and a nurse stays overnight and gives out pain killers every four hours.  They'll ring about ten in the morning and let us know when to go for her.:-D

Pleased it all went well CG. It must be very worrying and I remember pacing back in the days when I had pets. Saying that, I haven't seen Kitchen Spider recently!

I always think that they must think they've been abandoned, never to see their mummy or home again!:-(

I feel that as well CG. Daft I think, but natural. I'm glad everything went well. Not much longer till she's back home with you. 😄

Well we had a very bad night last night. No sleep at all. Poor old Jack hates the lamp shade but he licks so much I just had to make him wear it in his bed. He whined and cried and sat for most of the night next to my bed. 😞 I finally told him to get into his bed again at 5.20 am. He jumped in, gave a big sigh and fell asleep. Woke up at 6 am whining again so I got up and brought him downstairs. I now have to watch him like a hawk. Wish the vet had dressed it so he couldn't get to it. :_|

I felt like a change ok?

What a shame and a worry, things always seem worse at night don't they.  Is it just the lampshade or does he need a little stronger pain relief?  Hubby has to go for Lottie at 11am.  I hope she won't need her lampshade.:-)

She's home.  I carried her out to the garden and she did no. 1s and no. 2s (tmi) but she won't lay in her bed.
