It's a year ago Thursday she had her op to have a new cruciate ligament in her knee. She has to go to the vet's tomorrow, I think she's done the other one!!:_|
Looks like we'll both be on crutches at the same time.:O

Glad he's on the mend rainy! 😄
It seems everyone is falling apart these days, it must be my age! Eight of us 'ladies' meet up every two weeks to eat and chat. We've been doing this for some time now, as you can imagine as we started out being called 'Young Wives' :^O I, at 65 am one of the youngest! I've only been going about 38 years. At Christmas one lady (the youngest) broke her wrist, last week one dislocated her little finger and ruptured the ligament in her thumb, she had to have a GA and get it stitched and plastered. I'll be having a new hip on 23rd and a couple of days ago one slipped and broke her leg, needing a pin put in it. She's in intensive care at the moment with two blood clots in her lungs.
The other four are getting worried.:O

Night before last went to bring in a basket of logs for the woodburner. Theory is left overnight the residual heat dries them out enough to use next day. Done it a million times.
I tripped, fell full length, on top of the logs spilling out all over the place. I am bruised all up my right hand side. Still v. painful today. Just back from A&E - broken ribs - all they do is give you painkillers. Could open a pharmacy with all the medication I own. So yep, please just shoot me.:-(
I give up. You go for it CG - we have another friend who has been too scared to go for the op., but having seeing OH's progress has now been to see the consultant.

This was him after his last op. Looks like a chicken leg doesn't it? Also looks very, very painful. 😞
Thanks for the good luck - I'll let you know how it goes. 🙂

Aw, look how hairy he is!!! At least Lottie is short haired and it doesn't look quite so bad. Do you think my hip will look like that? No, I'm not quite that hairy. I hope he gets on fine tomorrow.
This was Lottie's scar. (Don't think I'll be showing mine!)
You mind how you go rainy!:O I'm sure if the weather cheered up a bit we'd all feel better!:-(

Just back from A&E - broken ribs - all they do is give you painkillers.
This has just been invented, not well known but it is approved by NICE and is offered on the NHS:

Rock and hard place..:-(
But then, lots of stuff is done under local these days, so maybe it's not totally out of the question.

It's about 3.20am and I am up to take painkillers, oh Lord does it hurt. I wonder are my ribs weakened after all the coughing from asthma/pneumonia/chest infections? They used to get sore then.
Neighbour has helped out, but did ask OH 6 weeks ago - put ad in newsagent for schoolkid to come once a day to do the logs. Nope. 😞

Awww, poor you. Have a (((hug)))
I'm awake because it is my Mum's birthday today. She died 18 months after my Dad, 2 years ago
I found things out after both had died, which were a shock to me & my brothers
I wasn't taking any notice of their birthdays (both this month) as I find my thoughts difficult still - but sometimes ones mind has other ideas, doesn't it?!

Everyone, animal & human, have a ((hug)) too - I've just looked back through the thread & what a lot of soreness 😞

Well he had his op and it went very well according to the vet. 😄 I'll be able to pick him up tomorrow. Miss him terribly though. 😞
