all would be welcome, just watch out for icy roads and two huge slobbery dogs when you get here - and no bringing left over turkey for the dogs, even they are sick of it!
29-12-2014 8:36 PM
No turkey then. Must admit that I'm a bit fed up with it now. We've had slobber off a certain coo so we are used to it.

Evening all. Put me down for a visit to Myra, if she wears her onesie I'll wear mine.
29-12-2014 8:47 PM
You find me in a onesie as I don't have one.

If it wisnae sae cauld Myra I would be up fur a plate as my static caravan is oan a farm nae far fae you.
29-12-2014 9:02 PM
yes. bring the french stick. I promise you my two dogs can slobber for britain, bet they can slobber more than you can captain, the sight of food produces great long strings of slobber - then they shake their head - it's horrible, but I love them. Have to start peeling veggies now as will need a lot if you are all coming - what time will you be here?
Thanks, you are all making me laugh.

It sure is cold dark-castle, have got the heating on plus the fire alight and we are shivering! Think it's a night for the fleecy pyjamas and the onesie in bed tonight

Can't say what time we'll be there Myra as we don't know when Fishy's picking us up. I'm really looking foward to meeting everyone.

We did try the caravan one year in November Myra but it was freezing ! It is on a farm just outside Dufftown and I use it sometimes if up that way and run out of driving time.
29-12-2014 9:13 PM
Dufftown gets even worse weather than us, I think with being so close to the sea we get away with it a bit more because a couple of miles inland gets snowed in frequently, although we catch the winds a lot which is why we are so cold. The house is far too big to heat properly so we are hoping to sell up in 2015, but don't know if we will downsize locally or go back to England, husband is Scottish and I am English so a case of which of us wins! Can't imagine a caravan in this cold though, very brave of you to even try it.

I hope that you manage to sell your house quickly Myra and move to where you will both be happy. The bungalow nextdoor to me has been up for sale for a couple of months and the bungalow on the other side of them has been up for sale for about six months. I think the problem is that they are both asking too much for them.

Last time we were up in September we went to Elgin auctions and Buckie to Cluny auctions just to pass some time.
29-12-2014 9:31 PM
I used to live in Elgin, about 50 years ago!!

I like Elgin, go there for shopping sometimes. CG we are just outside Banff, beautiful part of the country in spring and summer.

Captain are you suggesting a romp in the hay by any chance?

I love Scotland but we've not been for several years. We've been to the Edinburgh Tattoo three times and we've also been to Dunoon several times. When we've been to Dunoon, we've been on trips to Stirling and Fort William to name but two.
It doesn't feel quite as cold here tonight but it's still cold. Can you imagine us lot in a barn? It certainly wouldn't be quiet would it?
