....wonderful start to the holiday...microwave goes boom and cuts out. The socket on the wall won't work, can't find out why....so had to call an electrician. He also sorts out the shower switch and said it was dangerous!!!!! So we paid him.....then to top it all off...I've got a urine infection, I can't go out.....I need the loo every half hour!!!!!!
good job OH and I have a sense of humour.....

Why do things happen all at once? You poor coo. We are lucky that our electrician only lives next door. Hope that you feel better soon.

Poor CB, drink lots of water, if its cysistytus try cranberry tablets, I have used them and they are brilliant, won't affect the old diabetes will it.

Poor you. Barley water ( Robinson's ) is spposed to be very good for 'water troubles'.
If you microwave is now broken, I'd suggest looking for a new 'graded' one rather than brand new. I got such a one on ebay a couple of months back, a Sharp 'combi', a big one. OK, no maker's guarantee, but being a Sharp --- same as my last one which partly failed after 12 years ( just the microwave part failed, still fine on grill and convection cooking ) --- and at just £90 including P+P rather than £190 to £220 at T""co / Cu**ys, I think well worth the risk. Although it's 'graded' I can't see any cosmetic damage or marks and it works perfectly fine.

Ed, did you get the cranberry tablets from T**co?
Seems I'm going to be prone to this and thrush in my lady garden because of the diabetes, so I better get used to it. She gave me meds I've had before but last time they didn't work, so we'll see what happens. It's not as bad as last time.
Merc, love the tenna pants, I could see meself in a pair of them hahahahaaa!!
microwave? bought one with a purple front to match the kettle and toaster and my cool funky chairs from Ikea...........

I hope the meds work for you CB.
Why did I think that the microwave would be purple?

Bad luck with the water works/thrush...
If you can keep your blood sugar levels down that will really help reduce the thrush etc.
Eat lots of green veg and stay away from the cheese. The latter I found the hardest because it's recommended to eat only about a £2 coin size per week... Ughhhh!
