Today I organised a bake off in work for MacMillans World's Biggest Coffee Morning

lots of us made fancy cakes then sold or auctioned them off

here is my entry ..................don't laugh

I came third ...........................

but what I thought you'd really like to know is thet we raised ................................wait for it.....................drum roll please.........

a whopping £4,562.83p

am so proud of everyone who joined in or paid for the creations

right off to read yer message and reply I promise xxxxx

Oh Stan, wow wow and wow - goodness only knows what the 1st 2 must have looked like.  That is a wee masterpiece, thank you so much and what a wonderful sum raised.

My hairdresser also had her salon take part and they raised £600 - see, people are magic

Some of the cakes were amazing but will admit in the taste catergory the best thing by a country mile was a marmalade tray bake ...................... never tasted anything like it and have made the Lad .................yes lad who made it promise to bring me the recipe in.

One girl made amazing cookie monster cup cakes and they sold like wild fire

Have made myself a commitment now of raising £10,000.00 by xmas ........fingers crossed I can do it

Wow Stan that is fab - I so wish I had one tenth of your talent.  What a fabulous amount raised as well.  How many folks do you reckon were involved to enable you to raise so much money.

My friend and I did a coffee morning and raised £160.  In comparison with your efforts it doesn't seem a great amount, but across the country all the amounts put together will hopefully raise a good amount.

Do you have pics of the first and second place entries? that you could share please xx

Will try and get you the pics up fluffy as will have to pinch them off our internal website,

about seventy of us baked and about another 80 or so just donated cakes for sale , but luckily have alot of peeps to bid and lots donated and never took a cake

Well done Stan and WOW at that cake, love the blue birds. Well done too to all of you for raising that magnificent sum, give yourselves a piece of cake!

My DD & her friends raised £60 which was very good for the amount of people who went.
