MONDAY'S tea thread

Not much left over chicken this week so son is having his usual chicken and vegetable pie and I will be having mixed veg jalfrezi - hot and spicy as always.

Fresh salmon salad - it's too hot here to do any cooking!

Re: MONDAY'S tea thread

My jewish friend came to visit and brought home made chicken & veg soup - was actually more like chicken & veg stew, but it was lovely. She also brought warm cheese, tomato and garlic flatbread. I really enjoyed it.

Of course doctors came in whilst I was eating, and nurses came wanting to do temp and blood pressure.

Um, I hate to tell you but you'd struggle to find anything with more calories per 100g than cheese quiche.

Re: MONDAY'S tea thread

You're not far off (not) grumpy. Rose, try a fritatta using fry light. Lightly fry pepper, onion, mushrooms, bacon in some fry light, add whisked egg and salt & pepper then cook slowly on the hob finishing under a medium grill. Alternatively you can cook it in the oven in a pie dish if your frying pan can't go into an oven.

I made some red pepper and tomato soup today so I'm having that. Very warm here this afternoon.

I felt like a change ok?
