Just running in quickly to say thank you to my bidders. I have bids on all but one of my items and am really pleased that all of the charities I have listed for; YCR, Chaldon, DFG and PostPals have all got a donation. 😄

Can I remind people to look again at the MDCC listings as some extra items are often added during the week.:-)

I have revised one item, changed the blue cardigan to a pink & white one, will see if that gets any bids instead, :^O Trying to rack my brains what else I can revise, but still haven't found anything yet 😞
Hopefully bids may pick up at the weekend, it is pretty dire this month for lots of listings 😞

I am always pretty cool Welshtoff if I don't get bids. There is just so much money to go around isn't there?
However, I love it when I get 'new money' for a MDCC listing because the same generous crafters, donors end up being the buyers.
But I wish everyone success for the weekend.
Welshtoff, you may remember/recognise an item I have listed this time - it's raising money for Chaldon 2013. A FHG/MDCC lady who was terminally ill did a sewathon and was sponsored for every item she made in 24 hours. Then the items were sold for MDCC chosen charities. I bought this particular item off you which raised money for Deno and Posh about 3 years ago.
I think the item I have listed has worked its little socks off raising money for MDCC so Ringo has said it should go to its final home!
But, I am taking this time to remember a very brave lady who gave one of her last days to support MDCC as best as she could. Does anyone else remember her?

Just in case MDCC peeps don't wander onto other threads, will you please take a few minutes to check out this thread for Chaldon Animal Sanctuary:

If you run an eBay group or a forum, will you please ask them to also support Liz and the furries.
Thank you.

Hi Geranne. That Lady you speak of was from my old forum. She kindly did the sewathon and gave me many items to sell for charity. They were such well made items too. It was such a shame when she passed away, very sudden 😞
Yep, there is only so much money to go around, so I am happy to have at least 2 items selling, and maybe bids will pick up a little before the end of the auctions 🙂

I've been promoting the MDCC charity sales on my facebook groups & page.
Fingers crossed sales will pick up soon

I am so glad that you remember her Welshtoff. She was a total inspiration to all of us.
I am not selling the dog collar and lead because it is inadequate - it is far better than I could buy in pet stores.
Ringo has a skin condition and must have weekly baths. Because he weighs 32kg, I can't lift him into a bath. He has to be tied to a drainpipe for his weekly baths and warm water and special shampoo swished over him!
Now don't do 'aaaahhhhh, poor Ringo' He is loved and chatted to. But he has to have a leather collar and lead whilst he has his baffs! A webbed gingham collar and lead won't suit Ringo's needs.
Now for a funny story!
I took him to a holiday cottage at Christmas.... icy cold! We were warm inside, but it was a NE gale outside. Every time I opened the back door, Ringo stood next to the drain pipe. So I got a bowl of warm water, his special shampoo and started bathing him. He was NOT tied to the drainpipe..... but he missed his weekly fuss I think. He hates the wet bit, but loves the drying with towels and brushing.
Have you ever tried to pack up a travel case for a dog????

That made me laugh Geranne...that Ringo is such a character :^O

I'm after that collar and lead, thank Ringo for being kind and donating it. Some other nice bits I am also having a bid at
Have put mine up for Chaldon and Human Homeless, hoping it will snow tomorrow and lots of bored people will be looking for something to do ]:)

Well, don't you hate it when you spend ages typing a wibble using an annoyingly small netbook that hurts your fingers, only to find that you can't get to the 'post' button for some silly screen-resolutiony reason probably and the whole thing disappears as you try!
Summary of wibble - oh dear, MDCC auctions doing badly this month despite lovely hand made items that I am going to bid on in a minute if this machine doesn't drive me mad first and get itself broken. Glad I didn't embarrass myself, had some of those ideas but as usual no time to do them!
I'm doing Friends of Bwindi MDCC's this month so only one of my own listed (plus I've been giving myself headaches over forms and spreadsheets all week and ran out of time). But the Friends of Bwindi ones are doing Very Badly Indeed. Mostly brand new things, five listings, one bid between them! There are some proper bargains there, please have a look
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/*friends-of-bwindi*/m.html?
My single listing is for lots of flower seeds, all collected at the end of last summer. I'll add more if there are a few bids - there are a few more types lurking but some are a bit difficult to tidy up for packaging - things with floaty seeds like feverfew and aster for example - so I don't usually make them up into packets for selling.
Good luck everyone, I do hope it picks up abit for all of our causes. I'm going to do some bidding now.

Very quiet, but who can blame peeps for getting out and enjoying the little bit of sunshine?
Hopefully the bidding fingers will get twitching for everyone this weekend 🙂

Hope you all get a massive flurry of bids later today
