Tara I absolutely can't bare clowns :_|

We went to the circus when I was a little calf, I love it right up until the clowns came on, then I screamed so loud and kicked up such a stink that they had to take me out............I was petrified :_|

Fast forward a few years, I took both my children to our local Carnival, and guess what float came right passed us.........................one that was full of clowns, even walking by the truck they were :_|

I just froze to the spot I was standing on............I didn't want to react badly as I didn't want to frighten my children, but it was horrible :_|

There's just something about then, don't know why, but they scare me to death nearly :_|

I can't bare those Pierrot clowns either, my friend had two masks of them in her living room, and if I went to visit her, she'd have to take them down, I just couldn't bare to even see them 😞

Strange though isn't it...........how we become frightened like that for no apparent reason?

oh didnt know that wskneil......... cant bear them faces either moosie.......... im not at the point of running away and having a panic.......but argghhhh:O

those two dolls i made, were from patterns i found on the net.......... i then went on google images for a face for them.......

my daughter picked them.........out of all the lovely rag doll faces

the hours i spent with sewing the faces......:^O

but you all know she is still dragging around the manky dog toy...........so once she gets over ..i love it............ its back to the manky dog.

I can't stand dolls either they give me the shivers, especially those victorian ones.....eeeewww

Wskneil that's really interesting because as you say, children do read a lot from peoples faces, and those faces are not funny to me, they are fearful. I never knew it had a name either, so now as well as being agoraphobic, I'm Coulrophobic too 😐 😉

Tara I get the full works........I freeze with fear to the point that I can't speak properly, my mouth goes dry, heart races and I feel physically sick :_|

Merc to be honest it always surprises me when I see anyone, adult or child, that likes them.........some love them 😐 I think it's just a fear that comes from within, as I too, didn't learn it from anyone, it was just me 🙂

I'm funny with some dolls too CB.......I don't like the china one's, it's the faces again. I like the baby dolls and the teenage dolls because they look right, but those others don't 😐 they've got nasty little cruel faces to me.........maybe it's me...........told ya I was nuts :^O

MDCC runs for 7 days starting on the last Sunday of each month (excluding December) and sellers are invited to list up to 5 fun auctions to raise money for their favourite charity or good cause.

Chaldon Animal Sanctuary

Chaldon Animal Sanctuary has in its care an average of 75 abused, unwanted and ill-treated animals. They are mostly un-homeable for various reasons - too old, behavioural problems or with unpredictable temperament through previous hardships they have suffered.

They are not a rescue and re-homing centre – they are a permanent sanctuary providing life-long care for animals abandoned, mistreated or rescued from cruel situations.

They are non-profit making, non-breeding and have a non-destruct policy that cater for domestic pets and have dogs, cats, chickens, goats, sheep and pigs.
