I bought an item from (tubeworld1) I paid the due date for arrival past I waited weeks later and nothing, so i filled a dispute, and received my money back, there was no strike action by RM, no reason for any delay.
So i left neg feedback, as this item was important fo me to do my job and fix an issue with a broken heating appliance for a Customer.
So the seller complains to Ebay, and the Neg feedback gets removed.
To me this underminds the credibility of the Sellers and Ebay themselfs.

A reason for eBay feedback removal may include such things as "had to get eBay involved" "opened a dispute" "seller is a crook" and many others.

Whilst there is no current strike actions by RM, there is additional seller protection at the moment for sellers, until nearly the middle of December. If items are delayed or do not arrive, so if you said in your feedback arrived late, or item did not arrive then it would have been more than likely automatically removed as Ebay would have perceived this as part of the RM strike, so there is a possibility that the seller did not even contact ebay about this. As @arkwebus says there are strict guidelines on leaving feedback and if certain words appear in it then it is likely to be removed.

Thanks for your replies
But to clarify i never received the item because seller did not send it was out of stock, this i only found out when i filled a dispute.
Feedback left was queried with ebay questioning reason, so seller did get directly involved in getting neg feedback removed.
So how sure can we rely upon the feedback left for a seller?
So when i order an item i check when i should receive the goods, and if seller says 30 days i bear that in mind when i purchase the goods, if what i need is very urgent i will shop elsewhere all based upon urgency, if the goods are a few days late it dos not matter. a few weeks late does matter, especially when i find out its been out of stock with no communication from seller despite chasing.

I think in part you have hit the nail on the head, it is all about communication, if you don't know whats going on you cannot not act accordingly, if the seller is honest enough to say "sorry I have messed up here and your item is out of stock what would you like to do, eg wait or refund" then I am sure you would have never left a negative feedback. You would have given your appropriate reply, you may be annoyed don't get me wrong but you would have appreciated their honesty and how they were trying to resolve matters.
As for the removal, without any of us knowing what exactly was said we cannot really assist you much further there, but to what we have already mentioned.
