Well done Gypsy 🙂

Anyone have a 'bridge' camera ?

Is thinking about getting one

As mentioned previous have been borrowing someones Nikon d100, but the standard lens is not a digital one, came from a nikon film slr camera - would using a digial one make a huge difference to the quality ect of the photos?

:)

I have a bridge camera Poppy, it is a Panasonic FZ50, most of my pics on here are taken with that camera. I like pretty much everything about it, it can be as simple or advanced to use due to the range of automatic and manual settings. It has a very good zoom on it which is equivalent to a 35mm- 420mm zoom lense.

If you need to know anything else let me know:-D

Oh sorry missed your last bit of the post..... the lense shouldn't make any difference really unless it is very very old and or scratched/ marked etc.

I personally think that the person taking the pics has a greater influence on the quality of a picture than the camera they use

Hi Stu 🙂

Ahh, many thanks again for your help :0

Just wondered about the lens as its the one that I got with my old film slr many years ago and reason why thinking about bridge is because, as much as i love photgraphy / taking photos I cannot get my head around the technical side of a dslr - film one, had no prob with that and used a dig point and shoot for as long now.

Also, the d100 only has 6mp and I look at other peoples photography - who had 10, 12 mp and their work is so sharp and so vibrant - something I cannot seem to get with this camera - and want so much

.. But like the features, especially of the zoom range and macro - love macro photography.

Not sure what to get though - your one got brill reviews - but out of my price range.

Was thinking about fujifilm.. seems good and good reviews and can pick up one that came out last year for under £150 ( my budget) 🙂

Poppy, Fuji are brilliant for the money and would suggest you go for it (I don't know which one it is you are looking at though) I have a little fujifilm point and shoot and I love it.

Hi Stu.. 🙂

ditto with Fujifilm.. I've got a point and shoot too - had for years now. 5mp. And best of all is that it has a recharger - so not had to buy batteries / recharge batteries. 🙂

I'm thinking about the s2000 OR S1500 - Both at a very good price atm @ Pixmania - if can afford £165 in couple weeks then might go for the S2000 - Thats if they still have it at that price..we will see :)hopefully 🙂
