Deno (proper name De Novo) was adopted by FHG posters in 2005 when one of them, Shebalator, rescued him from slaughter.
Then - 700lbs underweight with a broken jaw and multiple other ills.
2008 - still struggling with sarcoids but finally fit enough to have a light rider up for the first time so he could
join his mates on a jaunt round the local lanes
2009 - due to sheb’s declining health, a new home was sought for Deno.
A very brave ebayer named upthecreekyetagain ( very apt name I think you will agree) agreed to take him on.
So, now Deno lives in Surrey with the Creeky family, plus 3 lovely mares. He has 5 acres of grass and orchards to roam in and is very happy.
His sarcoids still remain a problem, but a new vet is investigating them further to decide on the best course of palliative care.
Visits can be arranged, please contact Creeky for more info.
Deno is reliant on fundraising and donations for his food, medicines and all the things that make his world that bit nicer.

good lord, i don't come on here for a few weeks and i have missed all the action,
firstly, wishing all the wonderful deno defenders a very happy new year.
so glad all the horses are ok, so was it deno who was hit by the van creeky??, and if so it sounds like he was a very lucky boy.
having chased horses at stupid ok on an admittedly much quieter road than creekcys, i can assure you it is highly frightening bth for humans and horses.
creeky, can send an expert fence builder up to you for a weekend, his fences have been known to stop ellephants, well not really, but 2 tons of heraford bull is fairly close!!.
the 2 new horses are little crackers, adore welshies.
and huge hugs to corrie after her op.
well xmas for us was very quiet, was odd not having mum around, miss her like mad, and trying to deal with all of her papers is driving me a bit nuts. added to which dad is still in hossie too, he has been having lots of dyalisis because his kidneys didn't want to work, he is on the mend but its gonna be a slow recovery.
so, my life rolls on from one chaotic day to another.

Seriously, is good to be able to walk through them all like that without fear of being kicked 🙂
Ahhh, Trubshaw was a rump end for jabs so I presumed horses would be the same - where they have plenty of muscle to not feel it as much - haha, we tried telling Trubshaw that :^O
