From the adverts I have seen so far on TV....I am loving them. I am talking about the John Lewis and M&S advert. Also like the new Iceland one as well.
Once I see the Coca Cola "Holidays are coming" advert, I know that Christmas really is on it's way. We saw this advert a few days ago and as soon as it came on my son shouted "christmas is coming now mum"!!!

I've only just come on for a read of the threads and when I started reading this one I thought, Yay, at last, a thread where everyone isn't moaning and complaining............................then it started to go downhill..................
So now I'm complaining that everyone is complaining.
It's lucky really that we haven't got anything serious to moan about.

Just wait until the adverts have been on eleventy millions times, they won't be so wonderful then, we record programs that have adverts then play them back later so we can skip the adverts.

If somebody asks me what I think of Christmas...I gave my honest reply.
There are so many friends & loved ones suffering just now - for me personally, Christmas is a no-no.
I most definately never wanted to offend anyone...I'll fetch me coat

Exactly twishy, you have something to be upset about, but a lot of people get upset about things that don't really matter.
It just seems a waste, why not be as happy as possible while you can.

It's extra difficult when you lose someone at a special time of year isn't it. Mine went just before my birthday. I throw a pebble in the sea on Chrismas day for everyone who is missing from my life. One of the reasons I quite like Christmas Day on my own but this year as Jackie isn't working I will not have time to think with the children here.
