Archive/ack issues - the point being?

I notice you can skim back several pages of earlier threads.  With FHG it dates right back to April 2013!  Several of the earlier regular names seem to have disappeared, but is there any real reason for "Alan" and his team to do this?  Who wants to read yesterday's news?  Is this done in case there is a dispute that there is the proof of who said what to whom and when?  Is there a cut off point for old threads, or can it be traced back to when it all started?  I can't see the point.

With FHG it dates right back to April 2013!  they used to go back much further, there used to be a thread when there was a fundraiser for the tsunami

other threads  while they are old are not  really old news,  but may have had  something of importance and  information that would be useful

there is nothing i can think of that would be used in a dispute,  why on earth would anything on a board be disputed  ]:)

I'm not mad? You must be thinking of someone else. That Numpty was the mad one. I'm quiet and sensible.
