My arguement would be that as I buy my postage through ebay, you can see exactly when I have bought the label, especially as it rather unhelpfully adds the barcode number to the sale page where the tracking number should go. I then take my post to the post office and hand it over to them and in exchange they give me a time & date stamped proof of posting as physical evidence of the transaction. When I get a late delivery defect for an item which I can prove was posted on time, ebay just ignores the evidence I provide. I cannot be the only person in this position. It should be remedied.

I would very much like to simply use ebay directly to do my shipping, using Royal Mail for simple items (I don't sell anything overly large or complicated). I can get ALL my mail collected if I use the royal mail website to purchase my shipping, but collection is only available on a very limited number of shipping options when trying to purchase shipping labels via ebay. Is this deliberate or an oversight?
Hi @duguptreasure ,
The system will provide any available options on its integration with eBay. Its not an oversight, its due to the integration allowance between eBay and the Royal Mail.
Thank you,
Kat

Hi Kat
Thanks for your reply.
I wasn't thinking of adding any links, just typing something like 'For confidence please see feedback on personal account at XXXXXX' maybe on just my About Us. Or as a seller is this not a good idea, customer wise I mean.
Thanks
Dave
Hi @wdwel_45 ,
There is no policy against it so you can trial putting that information there to see if it helps with your new account.
Thank you,
Kat

When are ebay going to take notice of the fact the estimated delivery dates they are providing to buyers are completely ridiculous? I know they're allegedly "dynamic" and "based on a number of factors" but short of inventing a time machine to despatch items before the buyer has bought them, the earlier end of the estimate is impossible to achieve.
You are misleading my buyers and creating completely unrealistic expectations. I know this has been raised numerous times but it's going to keep being raised until you take notice and fix what is a totally broken set-up. I know that it's "working as intended" but "working as intended" clearly means it's intended to lie.
I have a one-day despatch time currently set on my listings - NOT same day. I don't have Saturday set as a working day for the simple reason that I'm not available to post on a Saturday. This is one of my items: Howlin' Wolf Smokestack Lightnin'-Best Of 2-CD NEW SEALED Blues Spoonful/Evil+ 5060143496141 | eBay . I sold it on Friday 24th Feb so I would despatch it on Monday 27th in accordance with when I say I will send it. So WHY is my buyer shown this:
They can't possibly expect to receive it on Monday 27th as that's the day I'm posting it! WHY? Ebay are driving sellers to lie about their despatch time and delivery service just to get ebay to set a realistic EDD for the despatch time and service that they really use. Is that what ebay wants - all sellers to lie to all buyers because of this ridiculous state of affairs?
Hi @rainbowjam
As you know the EDD is calculated partly on the information provided by Royal Mail, if the item is sent by first class post it give a next working day including Saturdays as a delivery estimate:
So an item dispatched on the 27th could arrive on the 28th as per the estimate.
I will as always pass your feedback to the shipping team but at the moment there are no plans to change how the EDD is calculated.
Thanks,
Dave
