why is it that recently ebay is sending out messages to leave feedback before the item purchased has even been delivered ?

I don't know why.

I ignore them knowing that I have 60 days to leave feedback.

eBay have been doing that for months.  Yet more evidence that the site is run by idiots...

Two reasons:

1. If the item is untracked, then they don't know when the item is arrived, so they SPAM SPAM SPAM

2. If it tracked, then it is simply a stupid program.

If eBay sees this, here is a simple program:

IF "ITEM_TRACKED" = True:

 IF "ITEM_DELIVERED" = "True":

  eby.sendmssge("PLEASE LEAVE FEEDBACK FOR", item)

 ELSE:

   wait until "ITEM_DELIVERED" = "True"

ELSE:

  IF "ESTIMATE_PASSED" = "TRUE":

   eby.sendmssge("PLEASE LEAVE FEEDBACK FOR", item)

  ELSE:

    wait until "ESTIMATE_PASSED" = "TRUE"
