Hi, ive bought an item in ebay and need to contact the seller to arrange pickup. When i select Contact seller and type a message i just get the notification that the message failed to send. How can i contact the seller?

Hi, yes I have paid and ebay have set the status to collection pending. So following next steps ie send messages to seller but ebay won't do it. I've been trying for a couple of days now
Ive had a look at the technical issues thread and it just says there is an open call for this issue with ebay and they are adding members with the issue to the list. It doesn't say when it will be resolved and what work around is in place. Meanwhile I have paid over £300 to a seller and can't arrange to pick the item up. What am I supposed to do?
This is very frustrating. Does the seller have any other items listed? I'm wondering if you could contact them via another 'contact seller' link, on another item?
He did have other sales and I have sent a message to him from another item he is selling. I assume it has gone through as ebay have not informed me otherwise. Thank you for the suggestion.
